"Be on the lookout for Carmen Nation's. My son was born small. And lost a good bit of weight before leaving the maternity center. And this new doctor that we have never saw before is appointed to my son. And we had an appointment last week , and she was wanting to put him in the hospital because he hadn't gained enough weight. So my wife( who is breastfeeding) , and I did not want that to happen. So we wanted to wait a week. And see if he gained any weight. She recommended some formula added in with his breast milk. So we did that. And also started giving him baby oat meal. Lo and behold my wife took him to his appointment this week. He had gained right at 5 Oz which is the recommended weight an infant of his age should be gaining. And this Carmen says she wants to put him in the hospital. In which scared my wife. She calls me to let me know what's going on . And I decided to get a second opinion Which is my right to do.As well I let her know we would be switching dr.s. which is also my right to do. In which she responds I will call dcs or dss , and report you for neglect. In which I respond go ahead the Lord will take care of you if you do. As he does to those who falsely accuse . Some how someway she says I threatened her sbd hangs up my wifes phone.. By the way I'm on FaceTime video call with my wife and kids in the room. So be careful. I'm not sure if a person who has nothing to hide would construe the Lord will take care of you as a threat.Sound like there may or may not be a devil worshipper at this place. I'm considering filing a suit on this establishment./doctor. Neglect? You have neglected to do your research. And overstepped your bounds. We have loved clothed fed constantly and took him to every doctors appointment. Even had to take him. To the e.r twice because of what was diagnosed by the Dr. At mission health who took xrays , and ultrasounds of as a hydrocele. In whichDr. Carmen says is a contortion/ hernia. Which either one calls for emergency surgery. That she had not done anything at all to help get going. She changes her mind between each visit on what it is.. In which we got the first appointment available which isn't till Nov 3 all the way in Charlotte. Which we have prepared to take him to. Neglect. How dare you even speak those words. The word that is coming to my head is malpractice. ...... Our girls have went here for years , and hadn't had any problems whatsoever till we met Carmen."

"Im no longer attending sylva peds as I moved my kids closer to my town. I can't get no one to answer the phone. I called more than once in the past few days!"

"Our four kids were patients in both Sylva and Franklin offices for four years. These professionals are great. We always received sound treatment and guidance for our kiddos. Just as of today, I needed our kids' medical records released from a couple of years ago, and Sherri was SO helpful in accommodating us. Thanks again for helping our move and transition easier, although we miss seeing these folks on a regular basis!"

"I absolutely LOVE this pediatric office!! The pediatricians here are all knowledgeable and kind, and treat our children as their own. Dr Jernigan is our primary, and his calm demeanor is comforting not only to my nerves with a sick child but he is so gentle and interactive with your child when they aren’t feeling their best. His nursing staff go above and beyond to meet all of your child’s needs and your concerns. Each and every one of them are incredible! I’ve never had to wait in the waiting area longer than 5 minutes, and they never have more than 3 children in their huge waiting room at a time which is very nice! I have always been able to make a same-day sick visit and anytime I’ve had an issue arise after hours, the on call dr has always called back within 5 minutes of my call with answers to my concerns no matter the time of day. We are blessed to have such an amazing pediatric office in our hometown!"

"What’s the point in my son having a primary care physician that he can never get into see when he’s sick? I can’t schedule when he comes down with an illness. This same day appointment rule you’ve got now isn’t going to cut it. What happened to the morning walk-ins, at least?! Dr. Jernigan is wonderful and I didn’t want to find another physician but I have no choice in the matter. How disappointing."
