Here, the clients help each other. Nursing, bus-drivers, administration, and co-workers all pull together to provide a supportive environment. I highly recommend."

"The evening of Friday October 3rd 2014, I had the opportunity to purchase over $6,000 of new Invacare products for the elderly(Wheelchairs, walkers, etc) at a heavily discounted price. Hoping I could find a local elderly assistance program in need of such a donation, I bought the lot. "What a great chance to help some people in my community." I thought. Several phone calls to the Horry County Council on Aging were unsuccessful as they were only interested in cherry picking a few items. I needed to drop ship all the product(2 pallets?) to one location. On Monday, Oct. 6th, a call to Active Day found they were happy to accept the entire lot. The initial contact, Amanda I believe, gave me the email address of a person(Debra Grafton) to email all the relevant info. The email address kicked back as undeliverable, so I called again to be sure I got it right. Amanda promised to double check the address, then call me back. She never did. I left messages on Tuesday & again on Wednesday. No return call. Tracking showed the freight was delivered on Thursday. Finally, I called again on Saturday to verify they received the product. I was casually informed that, "Oh yeah, we got it." No apology for ignoring my calls. No "thank you" for the donation. I finally had to ask for a letter of thanks as proof for tax purposes. Still waiting on that, too. I didn't do this for the accolades or a pat on the back. In fact, it was quite an emotional experience for me. My 1st thought was to donate everything to Helping Hands of Myrtle Beach as they had once helped me when I was in need. So now, what was initially an emotional & charitable undertaking has left a bitter after taste thanks to the staff at Active Day. I'm not sure what insight this offers the reader, but I had to share it. Kevin R"
