"I absolutely love SCBA, the class sizes ensure your child is going to get the attention they need. The curriculum is challenging and practical. Not to mention the education is Christ centered."
"My son has a true love of learning because of the staff and curriculum at this school. He loves learning the bible and loves hearing Gods word. He loves each teacher he’s had and looks forward to going to school each day. It makes my heart so happy knowing we found this gem of a school!"
"We are delighted to share a 5-star review for South Charlotte Baptist Church and Academy! The school's exceptional teachers, positive learning environment, and well-crafted curriculum have made our daughter's Kindergarten experience truly enriching. We appreciate the dedication of the staff in fostering a nurturing and educational atmosphere. Highly recommended!"
"We have been to this church while visiting Charlotte 3 times in the last 10 months. Each time the people were very warm and friendly. The music is beautiful hymns that glorify God and encourage the heart. They preach from the King James Version of the Bible. They have mentioned missions and missionaries each time which tells me that it is important for them to be a part of world evangelism. Having a church where I know they have sound doctrine is so important when you are traveling. This church will be a blessing to you. Thank you for being a light for Christ!"
"It seems like a decent school, but they are biased in determining which families they want to be a part of their school. Our daughter turned five in late July, so we checked out their kindergarten program. From the beginning, we didn't get a good feeling from the K5 teacher and felt like she was judging our daughter based on her age and capabilities. On the day of the evaluation, it seemed like she rushed through it and told me my daughter wasn't ready for her class. Our child can be shy initially and needs a little time to warm up. She knows her ABCs, can count to 100, knows her colors, days of the weeks and months, shapes, can color, trace, draw, etc. But having spent the last five years with her at home, I know that if someone makes her feel uncomfortable, she will get quiet and not answer questions to the best of her abilities. When doing evaluations, in my opinion, there should be more than one person present. Our daughter is a fast learner and would not have had any issues retaining the information. I know my child well and would not have gone to enroll her if I didn't think she was ready academically. My main concern was her being ready socially since she would be the youngest one in her class. I advise this school to never judge a book by its cover. I thought because this was a Christian school, they would be more friendly and understanding. The communication on their end has also been horrible. There is nothing wrong with treating everyone with the same respect, whether you like them or not. It takes two seconds to send someone an email or text letting them know your child does not fit their criteria. Instead, they let the kindergarten teacher tell us that, which, in my opinion, was very unprofessional on their end. Thankfully, during this time, we also interviewed with several other schools, and she was accepted into Charlotte Latin and ILIM :)"
