Reviews
"The staff at Brunswick County Social Services have always been pleasant. Each person has been helpful in a way that does not make us feel as if they are doing us a favor by doing their job. Thank you for the dignity and respect i have witnessed being shown, as well as experienced on each occasion."
"If you have a problem and need help do not even bother asking any government service in Brunswick county. They are incredibly incompetent and will somehow make the situation even worse. They are very talented at that."
"When I read some of the reviews here, I could not believe we were thinking about the same place. My brother and I came in and spoke to an adult services caseworker, Tammy Maynard. She was really professional and guided us thru the application process to try to get my parents some help with long term nursing care. She gave us a list of things that would be needed to get started and followed up when we sent or came in with more documents. She was the first positive thing that happened to us in this difficult time. I wonder if some of the people complaining here were doing the work that needed to be done to get assistance. My opinion, Brunswick County DSS is doing a great job."
"These people are swamped with work, and if you really need to speak with someone, show up in person at DSS. You are guaranteed a meeting if you show up & request one, although you may have to wait a bit. I appreciate all of the help they've given me. If you show respect, you will receive respect. That's life."
"I don't know if they are behind in times or they just don't wanna do their jobs. I needed to fill out paperwork for court and no one would help when I asked questions. And they take forever to get back to you when it's important."
