Reviews of Miller-Motte College
"Millet Motte is absolutely the worse school in Chattanooga! They start off like they are supportive but they are not supportive in the right areas they steal your money and then give you the crumbs. They do not know how to talk to people the communication is horrible and I believe they are racist. They will steal your money then throw you out of school and don't care it's all about money with them ! Also they will say you are living on campus and you are not so that means they steal your money because you don't receive that I remember I was suppose to get 4,000 and only got 599. They are horrible this school will be shut down pretty soon at least I hope so."
"School top notch - My Three + Years of Experience Worked with PTL (Phascall Truck Lines) as a new driver in the industry. Oreintation is what it is; see their description of the process. It was different over three years ago. I was lucky I went through training with very experienced trainers and satisfied, but I have heard horror stories. After I got my first seat, a very professional dispatcher was assigned to me. His name was Patrick, located in the Indianna terminal. He was my first dispatcher for over 3 years. I feel we knew how each other worked and what was expected. One morning, I woke up to a new dispatcher because Patrick was given different responsibilities. I was not informed or given any notice. My new dispatcher was Amy P. for approximately 6 months. She was a fantastic diapatcher to work with, but all of a sudden, my loads and miles turned to trash at no fault of her own but from her seniority with the company. She was fairly new to the company but was very experienced, polite, professional, and caring. When I was unable to drive, she stayed in contact with me to make sure I was okay and when I would be able to get back to work. My illness came while I was driving for PTL, deathly ill with COVID. My heart went into AFib, and I had to stop driving for three months and a few weeks. During this time, I used up my home time and vacation and then had to go on FMLA (FAMILY MEDICAL LEAVE ACT). This is where my demise started. After my FMLA expired, there was nineteen additional days until my cardiovascular appointment was scheduled. They were informed of this appointment months in advance. During my entire time off, I was in constant contact with human resources and my caring dispatcher, Amy P. Once my 90-day FMLA expired, they immediately terminated my employment and wanted me to be hired on as a new employee. All my three years of seniority would be lost. I worked very hard when I was not paid, respectably. Patrick gave me great news on my pay raises. I am not a criminal or have any blimishes on my driving record. They literally terminated me after +3 years of employment for getting sick. Ninteen days is all they had to hold on to my employment status for a release with no restriction. No restrictions was issued by my doctor, and I filed it for future employment else where. This virus was forced on me, and I worked through it the entire time I was able. Human resourses was very slack in their responces. Sherri B. took three days to get back to my email after days of calling and leaving voice mails with no response except from my email stating, "I have received your email. I have not yet had an opportunity to investigate any options that may be available." What I have been employed for over three years! I followed up asking if there was ample time and have not received a response to this day of typing this review. Not going back, period. If you like working for schnider go here, you will see! Trucking is what you make of it and will be dictated by people who do not respect you. This company is trash. I would not recommend it to any driver new or experienced! I thought they respected me but was proven a faulty belief. I drove over +110,000 miles per year, minus the ten to eight percent of miles they kept not paid. My maximum was +132,000. These miles will not be given unless you are a slave. Note that they caculate miles zip code to zip code during my review."
"Miller-Motte has really helped me a lot for the past 2 years. They have made sure to set me up for great success in my future with furthering my education and getting me into a great career!! The staff here is absolutely amazing and they really take their time to help anyone who goes here in every way that they possibly can. I absolutely love this place!"
"I’ve never personally attended this school, but it’s my understanding that some of their programs aren’t truly accredited, which would make obtaining needed credentials after school difficult. My sister transferred from this school to another, and her financial aid was canceled, due to the fact that Miller-Motte refuses to release her transcript with debt owed to the school. In fairness, I understand that the school needs to make a profit, but it does seem that they could work with students in a reasonable manner to help them to achieve higher education goals. Also, from my understanding, a large part of her decision to transfer is that she discovered that the program that she was attending at this school did not meet state requirements for appropriate credentialing following graduation. I’ve heard of people having good experiences with Miller-Motte, but do your research for the specific program that you’re studying so that you can avoid problems later."
"I had a nice experience with my student, Tina T. and her professor, Ms. McCray. They worked well together and both really enjoy doing hair and working with patrons! Being that I have extremely curly I felt that needed to bring pictures of styles that I liked. They worked on the best style for me. Then went into full detail of what my cut entailed, taking off length in the back. I appreciated that they cared this much to make sure that I was ready for such a change. I’ve only had 4 great haircuts in my entire life and this is definitely one of them!!! I’m thrilled with the outcome and impressed with the skill that both have. Tina will truly be an excellent stylist by the time she graduates!! And, Ms. McCray is an asset to the salon! Additionally, the atmosphere is just like a salon with laughter, different amenities going on at once and just has a fun vibe! I will definitely go back again to get my hair done and to try other services."
