"I was trying to get a wheelchair and overheard one nurse state "I don't wanna make any phone calls!" So -I- made about 12 phone calls and found a place that took insurance. They didn't take faxes, however, and the nurses would have to go and actually sit down and input information into a website. Well, God forbid they do more than send a fax!! I fought with them for almost 2 weeks! They told me -I'd- have to make MORE phone calls to find a place that not only took my insurance but also took faxes. NO! THATS YOUR JOB. THATS NOT ON THE PATIENT. They don't want to do any work! I was also hung up on by the 'head nurse' after telling her I shouldn't have to do their job as a patient! Luckily, I'd asked my PCP for help and THEY did the work and got my wheelchair for me. WITHOUT me having to make extra phone calls! Like a doctor office SHOULD. The only thing positive I have to say about Bethany Medical is Dr. Gainor. He's amazing. The rest are absolute trash. This is not the only issue I've had with this company. The first was with Dr. Beverly Lo, who didn't listen to me when I said a medicine didn't work with my body chemistry, the second was Dr. Phung when he went on a tirade about something unrelated to the issue I was there for and then left the room when I called him out on it. This company is a joke."
"I was hesitant due to the many negative reviews but I actually had a really good experience. I walked in with no appt and they were able to get me in. Wait time wasn’t even that bad compared to other places I’ve been for walk-ins. The receptionists were pleasant and helpful. The electronic check in was easy and clear and I liked that I was able to even pay my copay with the device. The nurses were friendly and I had no issues with my meds being sent to my pharmacy. Overall a good experience and I would return."
"Terrible terrible Terrible. Bad enough that I came and made a negative comment and I try not to do that. I was told to buy medicine over the counter it wasn’t that expensive (tamaflu) instead of them just sending it in. I also have to harass the front desk to get a prescription called into cvs. I’ll just say, I miss Dr. J and will be looking for another doctor."
"Was discharged unknowingly. Dr Mayrick has been pumping me full of suboxone for the past year. He discharged me and left me sick. I asked him will you please taper me off of this medicine before you discharge? He didn’t. He didn’t care that I was sick. He even lied in my chart reports. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT GENUINE HELP. They just want your money…..he knew I was struggling. He knew I was suicidal and took me off of the medicine cold turkey. He should have his practice revoked. We are going to take legal action against him."
"The providers are great but the admin leaves much to be desired. I was not seen at my last THREE appointments (two of which I fasted for!), because their scheduling, foresight and communication are that bad. That’s on top of the fact that about only 50% of the front desk seems like they are there to help you. Really sucks, because I am willing to put up with a lot to avoid changing doctors, but I feel like my hand is being forced because of fixable issues. It’s a real shame."
