Banks Trail Middle School

"Banks Trail is a wonderful school. This year I am graduating and I thought this would be the perfect time to say that the only problem I have is about dress code. Why boys never get dress coded, even though you can fully see their underwear, but girls do because you see a their bra strap or their shorts are “too short” is beyond me. I want to come to school for an education, not to seem cute in front of the boys. They always tell us that we “distract” the boys if our shoulders are showing or if are bra strap is showing, but we should not be the ones you are punishing! You should be punishing the boys who are starring at us. I am not ashamed of my body and I shouldn’t have to be told by my school what I can or cannot wear. I don’t want to come to school and feel pressured about getting dressed coded. Girls are beautiful and if they want to wear shorts, they should be able to. If boys can sag their pants, then why can’t I wear a tank top? Overall, btms was my home for 3 years and hope the people after me appreciate this school and the teachers and staff in it as much as I do!"

"At least the school is in Fort Mill. Btms is not the most sanitary in the world. Or professional but it is a school... I hope"

"Have had problems with getting my daughters classes situated. They had her in the wrong classes. Secretary isn't very friendly. Teachers give all projects and 9 weeks test due on the same week. Very stressful for my daughter."

"This place is okay, because of the teachers, but some of the teachers stink, I stay up late doing homework and assignments, because I do extra curricular activities and I barely have time to do my given assignments. Please give less homework, we don't have much time in the day as it is, because of school, but homework making you stay up late losing sleep and after that going straight to bed without thinking about anything else and stressing over projects due in a week that you have not had time to start. It is just to much stress and I know that the teachers will say "we are just preparing you for adulthood", but even some adults don't deal with this much stress. Please fix this issue if you can."

"I'm going to this school next year and my dad is friends with the vice principal and my drum teacher is friends with the band director but I see that this school has good reviews and there are only 2 things I'm worried about: PE is trash and it sucks and we only have to do it because or the health so why not that the people who hate PE just only do the health? That's a good idea. And Socializing is impossible cuz there are the slick cool kids then the okay kids and then the nerds like why does it matter it is all so stupid and people just make fun of people for no reason and I hate it so much and he worst part is getting bullied in PE so those are my reasons and I hope that this school is really good and we can actually have fidget spinners and bottle flipping, I'll give this school a chance."
