"Had a great experience seeing both providers there on separate occasions for my sick little ones. My favorite thing was how they deferred to me as the mother and my instincts and guided me in making decisions about the care for my kids. We got back quickly, felt truly cared for and listened to. Got great advice and my little ones are on the mend. Only place in the area open Sundays. I would have had to drive all the way to Porters Neck on separate occasions if not for Sandy Shores. Thank you!"

"I called to make sure my toddler could get seen today and was assured that as long as I arrived prior 1:30pm, we would be seen. We arrived at 12:39pm with 2 people in the waiting room and was informed that the provider said not to take anymore patients, so basically we were turned away so they could leave exactly at 2pm if not sooner. We will never come here again. It says alot about the quality of care."

"So glad to find Sandy Shores Medical recently on our stay at our second home in Surf City. . They were honest about their ability to take in walk ins in their schedule. So, being from out of state and a walk in needing to get my cough tested for RSV, I was not sure I would be able to get help.Thankfully I didn’t hAve to wait long. The receptionist,Rebecca the PA and her MA were so nice and took time to check me thoroughly and give me results right away.I definitely will use Sandy Shores from now on while in NC."

"Very disappointed with this place. My family and I have been going here since they opened. You can’t get calls returned or prescriptions filled with ease. Office staff is rude and hung up on my husband after he called multiple times for prescription refills! He was out of his diabetic medication for 10 days! After my husband was able to speak with the office, and complained about all of this, he received a certified letter stating he needed to find a new primary care physician!!! He was advised they would provide him with 30 day refills so his medication would not lapse. Well, guess who hasn’t been returning the pharmacist’s calls??? My husband is once again out of his diabetic medication!!! I’m not one to leave bad reviews, but felt it was highly warranted after how they treated my husband. I myself had issues with refills multiple times. I see other reviews on here about prescription issues…So, if you need medication, I wouldn’t go to Sandy Shores!"

"I went to Sandy Shores after being turned away at other "urgent care" facilities in the area bc they were too busy I was feeling very sick from apparent strep throat. And seeking care most of the day. They were efficient and I was seen almost right away The front desk was quick despite being busy. The NP who examined me was knowledgeable and caring. Highly recommend"
