"I was in the emergency room the day after Thanksgiving. DO NOT go to this ER. The PA I saw was rude. After five minutes of her complaining about having to work holidays, she misdiagnosed me and refused to give me an antibiotic that I was not allergic to. My discharge instruction said to return if certain things occurred and those thing were exactly what I was there for in the first place. I took the prescription for the antibiotic she was willing to prescribe (I desperately needed antibiotics to breath) and dosed Benadryl to counter act the hives/ allergic reaction and went to my regular doctor on Monday. This PA should have her license revoked before she kills someone. She took an oath that states to do no harm and she could have killed me. I filed a complaint with the hospital and have been playing phone tag with Ms. Sorenson, which tells me they don't really care. Of course I have received all of the bills I am expected to pay even though she could have killed me and I had to spend more out of pocket to go to doctors to counter act her harm. My doctor has suggested I report her to NC Medical Board. Again DO NOT go to this hospital- DO NOT let your loved ones go there either. I would rather die at home with no help then be mistreated or killed at this hospital"
"In the past, I have had bad experiences with the staff and how I was treated for coming in with a ruptured appendix among other things. I don't ever go to the ER unless it is truly an emergency. I go to my GP. That being said, I went to the ER for a GI bleed yesterday because my doctor could not get me in until February. His nurse told me to go to the ER. I was feeling awful. Waited about two hours before I was finally triaged and the staff, from the front desk to the imaging guy and PA were super kind to me. The problem was is that is was so packed in there. People treating the ER as their regular doctor's office and so no beds were available and the extremely short staffed. I overheard they only had one PA for each shift. Whether that was true or not, I felt bad for the staff, including the PA. With all kinds of different people coming in and such, they were overwhelmed but they were keeping a smile on their faces as best as they could. After imaging, I had to sit in the lobby and some guy, probably with mental health problems kicked his shoes off into the air calling them "Jessica" and then trying to talk to me and telling me his is "crazy" along with his kids and "baby mama". I had been there for 9 hours at that point but I was feeling scared and uncomfortable so I went into the bathroom where there was urine all over the floor, trash and spit. I knew I had to leave, despite being in pain and bleeding. I asked the front desk if a nurse would come take my IV out because I had to leave. I signed an AMA, but the nurse was such a sweet lady, apologizing and said she understood. I also met her and the rest of the staff with kindness because they were trying so hard to do their best. It is just difficult. Especially when people just use this place as a doctor's office and not as it is intended to be: EMERGENCY! I am at home now, still in pain but tests were done. I am.sure if they find something, they will call me but for my safety and sanity, I had to leave"
"This place has a consistent level of neglect that needs investigating. I have been here 3+ hours with my daughters large bleeding wound. 1 person out of 20+ has went back. An insane person keeps wandering around freaking people out and security won't do anything about it. This is my 4th terrible experience here with similar results. My son waited in the waiting room 3 hours last time with an asthma attack. I hate this place so much."
"My wife and I recently had to stay several nights in the hospital for pregnancy related issues. Obviously we did not want to be here or go through this experience, but the staff here at Wilson were amazing. Specifically Dr. Forrest, Amy (nursing director, can’t remember her last name) and Ashley Beverly. Ashley was truly one of a kind that made all the difference. She connected with my wife and treated her like royalty. We are very appreciative of all who helped us. Even the custodial and kitchen staff were great, given its thanksgiving day and they probably all wanted to be with their families. Very appreciated."
"I had an exceptional experience having had an orthopedic surgery here. From initial appointment scheduled via online and super easy, to getting an MRI done quickly to the actual day of the procedure everything went so well. Staff and providers were informative and asked safety questions multiple times over which reassured me they were taking my safety seriously. 10/10 would recommend Dr. Yenni and Wilson Medical Center for any surgical needs."
