Health and Human Sciences Building

The Health and Human Sciences Building, located at 4121 Little Savannah Road in Cullowhee, North Carolina, is a state-of-the-art facility within a university setting. Nestled into the mountainside, this four-story, 160,000 square foot building is home to over 1,200 undergraduate students and 300 graduate students. The building is specifically designed for health-related teaching and learning, with expanded labs and classrooms equipped with the latest technology.

The building features eleven instructional classrooms and seminar rooms, as well as a 100-seat lecture hall with videoconferencing capabilities. This allows for engaging interactions with speakers from around the world, as well as the ability to broadcast presentations to larger audiences or parents watching from home. Most classrooms are equipped with video capture systems, enabling faculty and students to record lectures and share them online.

The Health and Human Sciences Building also houses three simulation labs, where students can practice clinical skills using patient simulators. These labs provide a realistic environment for training in medical emergencies and assessment techniques. Additionally, there are labs dedicated to physical therapy, athletic training, nutrition, environmental health, etiology, anatomy, and human movement.
