"While on vacation we visited Chestnut Valley farm so our youngest daughter could get a horseback riding lesson, she likes to visit other horseback riding facilities when we go out of town. We called & made an appointment for yesterday Friday , Aug.7th. My daughter really enjoyed her lesson, she said that her instructor was nice & encouraging. She absolutely loved Dooley, the horse she took her lesson on. Thanks so much for spending so much time with her on your beautiful farm. "The website states business hours are until 9pm. After attempting to call over a dozen times over the course of a few days we made the drive over to the business, figuring they could be busy. Upon arrival, we pass a house being remodeled maybe, and only see a small round sign with the business name. We did not see any other indication of a business. We went to the left up the property, feeling like we are out of place, but needing to turn around. We see a barn with horses. We think we have found it. We call out to see if anyone is around and nobody is. We did not enter the barn or yell near the horses. There appeared to be an office space above the barn, which is very nice, so I knocked on the door. I ended up disrupting an air bnb rental couple that had no clue about riding stables. Alas, we left messages on the business line and left. Very disappointed with a business that does not honor their hours of operation or communicate. We do regret taking the chance to come up to see if the business was open. After calling, we should have just looked elsewhere-it was just an hour closer than other riding stables. Very disappointed little boy."
