"I would caution anyone currently renting or thinking about renting a Saltair plane. I had an in-flight flap failure in one of the Cessnas. I was luckily able to solve the issue and land without incident, but it was a very dangerous situation that could certainly have resulted in a crash. I have found out that this was a recurrent issue that the company was aware of and did not fix or even inform pilots of the potential for this issue, and that I was the at least the second pilot this has happened with. I was not refunded for the flight, and was never contacted by Saltair staff to follow up on the incident. This issue alone should cause hesitation to prospective and current pilots of saltair aircraft."
