"HILLSBORO UNC HOSPITAL 12/28/2023, 2:05AM I was seen by the ED for Kidney Stones. I want to compliment a particular young nurse whose first name is Tabitha, (she was wearing Black Scrubs). I was placed in a private room, because I am a volunteer participant in an ongoing trial research study by Dr Jason Lobo, UNC PULMONOLOGIST. For the entire 6.5 hours she consistently check on my comfort and my well being. She brought me blankets to keep me warm, water, and took my husband to the cafeteria so he could get coffee. Also I’d like to compliment Dr Collin Murray who diagnosed my condition, brought me water, prescribed my RX and brought me a wheelchair to transport to the parking lot."

"Wife was driven here during an emergency (blacking out from pain), we waited over 3 hours with her in and out of consciousness in the waiting room. When asked if I could get any help with her blacking out and nausea the receptionist told me they were full and there’s nothing they could do. Meanwhile, more than half the people in the ER waiting room seemed totally fine, carrying on conversations and acting like it was a standard doctors office. This ER is a joke, they treat their patients like jokes, and they have no respect for our time or needs."

"The nurses and doctors at this hospital took excellent care of our father . They treated our family with such respect. I cannot express how grateful we are to have had these people on our dads case during this tough time ."

"Moral of the story, going forward, we're going to find out how close we are to a shift change for doctors (especially) and nurses. Number of stars likely not to improve, even though we were told there was no one in the waiting room. Spouse came in here with allergic reaction and breathing issues and got stuck in a room and said we'll have someone with you shortly. Well, we're now looking at almost 50 minutes and no one has been in here. Lots of folks here it seems but and a rather relaxed atmosphere around the nurses station but no one's been in here. Well one good thing: the meter is running and they'll make money... Oh, so after an hour and me standing up and opening the door, someone came in and explained the following... basically They say that there was supposed to be a doctor change over at hours other than nurses, but no one warned us either up front in triage, or during our 1-hour wait in silence from anyone. So it appears to us that no one's responsible for anything here...."

"I honestly have no complaints about this place. We are not from the area and had surgery here, we had the best experience ever with our amazing nurses especially Gretchen, she was absolutely wonderful. Our entire surgical team was so communicative with us and went through everything very thoroughly and they were very pleasant to talk to and so very helpful with what we were going through. Also Denise in the financial department is probably the most kindest person I have ever met. She went above and beyond for my family and I in the difficult time we are in. Overall I highly recommend this place!"
