"Martial Arts is a skill I wanted to learn my whole life, however life somehow always gave me a reason to not start. At 39 years old with a family I finally said enough excuses and found that I could only go once a week. I am so glad I stepped up one day and tried it out with the 6 week trial. It was abundantly clear that after the first class I needed this in my life. The moves were a bit awkward and challenging at first but everyone was respectful and patient. The class has harmony with Sigung Clear and his students. There is a good balance with safety and precaution while still providing solid self-defense instruction. I look forward every week to going and am able to practice most of the skills I learn on my own, in-between classes. I have noticed in the last 4 months my body has changed too. The Bagua exercise and my most recent addition of Tai Chi have strengthened me in ways I've never experienced. This is coming from someone who worked out with weights for years at a gym when I was younger. The effects I am benefiting from in this class are much greater than those I ever experienced in a gym. My only wish is that I would have started this much earlier in life. I plan to practice this for the rest of my life though and believe I will be able to achieve great things. It seems that most anyone can join this and benefit in some way. The only reason I checked out Street Kung-Fu is because of its location being convenient. Knowing what I do know I would drive much farther to be a part of this. After three months I have full faith in Sigung Clear and feel very honored to be in his class."
"We joined Sigung Clear's Street Kung Fu School two months ago. We are extremely satisfied with the Silat and US Systema programs and the manner in which Sigung Clear instructs his classes. His extensive background and world training as a Master in the Martial Arts arena is truly a rare commodity, one we don't take for granted. The value of having Sigung Clear as our personal instructor in our local area is an honor and a privilege. I previously trained in Tae Kwon Do for a number of years. In comparing the techniques of Silat and US Systema with Tae Kwon Do, I believe this art to be the most practical and effective form of self defense training available in the times we are living in today. In addition to learning self defense tactics, we are gaining knowledge of whole body health through breathing and relaxation exercises, and energy healing methods through seminars. We highly recommend and fully endorse Sigung Clear's Martial Art School."
"At the age of 40 I wanted to change myself for the better. So I went to Street Kung Fu & they wanted me to take the class first then decide if this class was right for me. When I first arrived at class I saw that everyone was respectful to each other and it felt more like a family than a group of individuals And after class was over I knew there was no better place to achieve the level of change I was looking for than here in this class. Si-Gung Clear is an amazing teacher and his staff is incredible. It was an honor to have been in his class & to have been taught by him. We not only worked on techniques, strength, and flexibility but he also taught our body and mind to become one. I enjoyed all of these exercises. Si-Gung Clear modified the training to body condition, and level so that a heavy girl like me could still participate & be a part of every aspect of the class. This is the funnest & best class I have ever taken. It meets you at the level you are at while simultaneously building you to a level you did not even you you were capable of. Si-Gung Clear and the other instructor along with everyone else in the class are very welcoming, kind, supportive & always ready to help a newcomer to martial arts. Si-Gung Clear is a great teacher who truly cares about his students. Even though the training is hard & challenging you will come out a better person from this experience. And this training may save your life one day."
"I have been a student of this fine program for almost three years. I enrolled in order to provide my son who was 12 at the time with role models and demonstrate discipline and integrity. I have been pleased beyond my wildest expectations. Both my son and I recently passed the Phase I exams and I am very proud of him. Sifu Clear and the other teachers are patient and consistently demonstrate interest in the student learning the art. I especially enjoy the Energy Healing workshops. Recently, the number of women taking the class has increased so if you have ever considered training in martial arts... please stop by for a visit. You will not be disappointed."
"As a former martial arts instructor, I would not train here. The head instructor and the rest of the staff are physically unfit, a big warning sign, and did not show a particularly high level of martial arts skill. The head instructors movements were generally sloppy, the instructors under him were even worse. None of the instructors seemed to know how to actually handle a class, and most movements were taught in a show you one time, now you do it, manner. It was also very gimmicky. The head instructor, among other irrelevant gimmicks that had little to do with actual martial arts, tried to brake a concrete board and it awkwardly took him maybe 13 tries to brake. I honestly believe that the skills you are taught here would not transfer over well to a real life conflict and may actually be detrimental to you by giving you a false sense of security . In general, just a garbage martial arts studio."
