"I attended Maryville City Schools from K-12th. Had a few teachers who were phenomenal people. However, my overall experience there was not good: advisors were lacking, college prep. advice was poor, attendance after family death situation was handled extremely poorly, class scheduling was poor, orientation was lacking, policies and requirements need modification, and much more."
"Currently im a junior at MHS and this is my 2nd semester here and I can say with confidence that this is one of the worst schools ive been to. It took about a month to realise this school does not really care about the individual students rather than the results they produce, the school building itself is so overpopulated that some students dont get to eat lunch and go home crying from the stress this place puts on them with me being one of these students."
"Graduation was fantastic."
"Our child has flourished working with the caring, dedicated Pre-K and elementary educators we've worked with. Each are kind, enthusiastic, helpful, wonderful teachers who value each of their students as precious individuals. The two stars are for them. However, some of the staff in the district office are not so wonderful. When dealing with them, we found them to be condescending (especially to females), belittling of neighboring school districts, biased towards those who are different than what they see as normal, and solely focused on sports and their #1 school system ranking. I was condescended to, talked over, and insulted by multiple, high-level staff members who work in the district office. These folks are supposed to be here to serve families in our community; but they very much exude the attitude that we little peons lucky enough to live in their school district should lick their boots in gratitude. Such disrespectful behavior is not true leadership and is most definitely not an example I wish for my children to emulate."
"Good school but their main focus is football."
