"The amount of dead fish in almost all your tanks is sickening!! Literally crying in the store because of it. I know some may say they are just fish but they are still living creatures and deserve better!! Get it together and do better for your store and animals!! When the fish are so dead they are starting to decay and other fish are eating them then that is NOT OK! There was 1 tank with 1 dead fish and 1 alive fish and that was it!! No tank decor or plants. Absolutely heart breaking!"
"By far the worst PetSmart I have ever been to,women who attended to me when I was trying to buy a fish kept on questioning everything about what I had in my tank already and try to teach me so many things that were wrong .i have had a two fully cycle tanks for over five years now with no problems.even call me a liar when I told her I do water changes every two weeks in my 55 and 75 gal tank .never felt so disrespected before by a employee.I recommend anyone to not shop at this store ever until they straighten up."
"First off, I'm really not a complainer. That is honest and you take it as you want. I always try to review, especially when I've received fair to excellent customer service. On that note, sometimes something happens and needs addressing. Petsmart at the Mooresville, NC location really needs to train employees better. The girl that helped us was snarky, rude and judged us as soon as we asked for live fish. She had never heard of putting certain fresh water fish in a brackish tank. We have been doing it a long time. We've been slowly filling or 120 gallon tank with fish that can acclimate to it and thrive together. She didn't want to sell them to us, called her manager and gave us a very hard time about not selling to us. When I spoke up, not very nicely, that I was insulted by her questioning people that are fish hobbyists, and were not new to this and had no ill intent, she sold us the fish hesitantly. We have 7 tanks, 3 salt, 3 fresh and a brackish! She then flagged us for no returns on these fish! She bagged our fish, and left, walking away and dropping the now bagged fish on her podium. One of the fish was dead after leaving the store, within minutes. We have a home full of loved animals and fish. Her lack of knowledge clouded her just listening and learning something new. She made us the bad guys and was already talking to the cashier about us in her little mic system they use. Never once watched her or heard her speaking to the cashier, but that cashier handled us with care like we were troublemakers and to be sure to mark all over our receipt. I didn't appreciate this treatment at all. Folks, I'm not a very young woman anymore, and I carry myself accordingly and am usually overly polite to everyone I encounter. This entire visit to this petsmart has changed my mind in ever dealing with them again. it's a shame the way these conglomerate companies take over industries. We personally spend a lot of money with them. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs and about 40 fish, 2 of which are exotics. We pay for their premium pet program, monthly!! We are all for welfare of any animal and living thing. To be treated as if we were hurting them was insulting and uncalled for. We do a lot of business with them, but that's going to change. We do business with local aquatic stores in our area and beyond. We will learn to spend a few more bucks at reputable places that share in our hobby, and get what we need. They have the same stocks, small little everyday fish and aquatics to exotic aquatics. We kind of have reserved them for all the bigger stuff and feeding needs, which they are aware. They have stock to sell specifically for that reason and We follow rules. Just beware petsmart believes they know it all and let their associates flag and judge customers based on what they buy. If I bought a certain guinea pig food, would they run over and tell me I can't buy that brand because I might be making a choking hazard and they will die? Do they think I'm feeding all my fish to a dang shark? Get over yourself petsmart! I go to places where they sell bait and feeders, for that reason. Please stop setting up your associates for disaster with customers, training them with this approach. Because this girl didn't have knowledge or ever heard of some fish acclimating this way, she started a rude and stuck up attitude with us. Did not have to take a bad turn the way it did. Ps..less than an hour later, 2 fish dead. Can't return them because of this situation and have not even taken from their bag. We let them sit in their new tank water in their bag to start the acclimatization process. This is just ridiculous and I hope no one else is treated this way in their stores."
"Kate H. did a fantastic job with my sweet girl! She listened to exactly what i was looking for and executed it beautifully as well as treat rose with such care. I highly recommend her!"
