Reviews of Cityblock Health - Fayetteville
"When I first started going to City Block Clinic, it was an okay experience. They were taking care of my children's health needs. However, recently I had a situation where they did not communicate with me as a mother. They sent my child to another doctor without consulting me about the results. I think they need to communicate better with their patients and not just refer them out. What if the patient doesn't want to go to another clinic or a doctor? Also, why would they have a doctor's office open if they can't help with anything besides immunizations, pushing pills, or checking for something that's wrong? Today, I changed my doctor's office because I don't tolerate derogatory language or poor communication. Nurse Shawn and PC Nancy need to be retrained on how to contact parents before sending referrals out. They should inform parents who is calling and why. They should strive to do better and not just focus on getting insurance money."
"I had a CT scan done at the ER and there were finding which recommended I have a mammogram and thyroid ultrasound done. I will note that I have an anxiety mental health diagnosis - which I told the provider (Nancy) from the get-go in hopes of not having my health concerns constantly dismissed as anxiety. After receiving the results to the CT scan, of course, my anxiety was high. I called in to request the referrals I was told I needed which Nancy said she could not do because she likes to have all reports and do her own examination. I was told to see a different provider via Telehealth which would go ahead and put in that referral in for me. I politely declined because if a Telehealth provider is able to fulfill this request, my provider should be able to as well. I continued to press on the issue of receiving the request and went as far as obtaining the reports she needed in order to put in these referrals. I was not disrespectful or rude- I was more concerned and anxious (as anyone would be). I also spoke to Alexis and Haven (who were very kind and seemed to be understanding of my concerns). I had my follow-up with Nancy today. If I knew what I was walking into I would have NEVER gone in or EVER gone back. Nancy walked in, clearly bothered, and asked how could she help me today? I told her I thought we were going to review the findings of my exam which she replied, didn’t someone already talk to you about it to which I replied that is what I thought this appointment was for and Nancy’s response was, and I quote, “this is what happens when you have uncontrolled anxiety” “I would like to get off of the merry-go-round of having unnecessary exams done” “because of your uncontrolled anxiety you will now have to have radiation every 6 months for cysts which are very common” all of this was said with a very condescending and degrading tone. She then proceeded to state how I was calling her team requesting referrals etc. to which I replied “so for calling to request a referral that I was told I needed?” She took in a deep breath, said ok with a smirk, and asked me if I needed anything else. At this point, why would I continue to express any other concern I may have when Nancy clearly is bothered, upset, and does NOT take my concerns seriously. As if that was not enough, to then use my mental health diagnosis to insult, degrade, and chastise me. I said no and she stood up and walked out of the room. The appointment lasted a total of probably 5 minutes. It is upsetting that Nancy used one of my mental health diagnosis to scold me and remind me what a burden it is to have a mental health disorder. I hope this review deters anyone from visiting Nancy and City Block as a whole entity if this is the representation they have for their health care facilities. I also highly encourage anyone with a mental health disorder to switch to a new medical facility if you are already going here and if you are looking for care to continue to look else where. I am highly disappointed and inflicted by the care I received today. I never thought a medical professional would insult or discriminate against me based off of a mental health diagnosis. I will not being going back nor do I not want to see a new provider."
"My mother had an absolutely wonderful experience during her recent visit to Cityblock Health, and I wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care she received. From the moment we arrived, Mimi at the front desk greeted us with warmth and kindness. She made my mother feel so comfortable and welcomed, which set the tone for the rest of the visit. Dr. Nancy Prantl and Haven her nurse are absolute gems. Their expertise and genuine concern for my mother's well-being were evident throughout the appointment. They took the time to explain everything clearly, listen to her concerns, and provide a comprehensive evaluation. My mother felt heard and valued as a patient. They are both supportive and informative. They ensured that my mother understood her treatment plan, medications, and any follow-up appointments. Cityblock's commitment to exceptional patient care shines through its dedicated team. My mother left the office with a sense of confidence in her medical care, thanks to Mimi, Dr. Nancy Prantl and Haven. We are immensely grateful for their outstanding care and would highly recommend Cityblock to anyone seeking compassionate and top-quality medical services. Thank you for going above and beyond to provide such a positive healthcare experience!"
"AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This is a medical puppy mill. They are profit first. Patients second. They let a doctor go MONTHS ago and have not replaced her. We have 2 children under their care for medical issues. We had a visit today and when my wife arrived they informed her their was no doctor on site. I’m sure all parents know that you need to make arrangements with school/work etc to make these appointments. Why would you not notify us that there was no one to see us? Mind you there are THREE people working the front desk but my wife is told they only have ONE doctor for 1200 patients. 99.9% of the time, these offices uses PAs anyway so how do you have no one?? How can that be? Doctor to patient ratio is WAY off. This is not the first time something like this is has happened. I will be reaching out to the state medical board on this. The owners should be ashamed of themselves"
"Today my kids and I went to City Block Health. Nancy, Marcia, Raina and Dr Prandtl were so kind. They all show respect understanding and they are all Caring. Dr. Prandtl is the best Dr. I have met. She explains everything to you so the kids can understand. We love this office. Thank you all.!"
