"The stars are for the EMTs. I wish I could give them 5. They were kind, helpful, compassionate, and genuinely seemed like they wanted to help. However. The front desk lady is hands down rude. If people are coming to a hospital for help, because they’re sick and potentially afraid of the level of pain they’re in-don’t you think staff should be kind? I had been throwing up for 4 days-and now having severe abdominal pains-worst than labor. But at this point I had no energy. After arriving they put me in the waiting room, where I continued to developed a fever. When I asked the front desk lady if I could lie down she said “I don’t know where”. Then when I asked if she could help push me (I was in a wheel chair) to the chairs so I could lay-she said “I don’t push”. I could barely open my eyes from being so weak, but was able to murder out “well that’s helpful”. She continued to be rude everytime I asked for an update. The reason I wanted to lay down was because I have a pinched nerve and the chair hurt-when I asked her to lay down because I had shooting pains she said “we don’t give pain meds”. Look lady-I get that maybe you deal with people seeking that. But I was genuinely struggling. What’s interesting is, is that instead of being hospitable and helpful, they say back behind the desk watching tik toks and laughing loudly. When someone is ill-do you think noise like that would help or hurt? When I brought my daughter there a while back everyone was kind. This time I was alone. Is this how you treat people when they’re alone seeking help sick and afraid? That must make you feel so big and powerful. The man with her also had an attitude. When I asked him “do you know how much longer it would be” he said “no it’s an ER”. So I asked “can you ask?” He said “I’m looking at the board. There are no rooms.” So I asked “can I go in a hallway or something?” He said “no I don’t have the room.” I can appreciate if there’s no rooms-but the attitude, it’s gotta go yall. You give the south a bad name. Do you think we’re going to trust you with our health if you can’t even be kind? What kind of sick patient is going to understand “the board”. Don’t you think it would be more beneficial for everyone to just be kind and see if you can help the person? Especially when I was the only one there for quite some time! I kept having severe abdominal pains, which started shooting into my back. But at this point it was 4am and I had laid in a cold waiting room, listening to them laugh, so I decided to tough it out at home since I now had the strength to stand and called a ride. When I was leaving I told the front desk “I’m leaving.” She said nothing and just gave me a stink look. You clearly have a personal problem and if you can’t be kind maybe don’t work with people. This is the face of your hospital Moore County….even the way she spoke to people coming in looking for loved ones. Just gross. Do better."
"My wife and I came in to deliver our first child, I cannot speak for the rest of the hospital but as far as the Labor and Delivery team goes they are absolutely amazing. We had Dr. Richberg, for nurses we had Ashley, Whitney, Karissa, Sandy, Jamie and Bea. Everyone was so helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and caring. If you’re going to deliver soon I would definitely recommend Moore Regional."
"This review is specifically for Dr. Adam Hunzeker. You do not deserve to practice medicine if you belittle someone who is going through a mental health emergency. It is NOT the patients fault that they were given your name and number when they needed a prescription refill over the weekend since YOU were the doctor on call for the weekend. Maybe there should be better communication within the department since YOU were on the “on call” list for the weekend. For you to laugh at a patient who desperately needs her refill because she doesn’t want to go through withdrawals is heartless. You practice Psychiatry and laugh at patients? Who taught you that that’s the morally right thing to do? I would love to know. Have you ever experienced withdrawals from mental health medications? If not, maybe you should so you know and understand what patients go through during situations like these. Do better!"
"This place is trash. They have you wait in the lobby for several hours, only to call your number to do different steps of the triage while you wait, then send you back to the lobby for several hours. We waited 8.5 hours to finally get a bed and for the doc to tell me what I already knew. Come to find out he didn’t even look at my blood panels until told him. Then recommended I was discharged without doing anything. I asked for a saline/antibiotic drip and have been waiting an hr for that alone! How hard is it to hook an iv bag up. I haven’t seen one nurse since I’ve been in this room. Clearly they don’t care. But they can stand in their station and chit chat. Save yourself the heartache. You’ll die in the waiting room before being seen. Don’t waste your gas or money here."
"I recently gave birth to my son and the labor and delivery staff were amazing. Aliyah and Ms. Maggie and Dr. Byron made my experience so much easier and peaceful than I could have imagined… there are other nurses that I’m missing as well especially the nurse who held me while I was being administered my epidural, she was a god send. Thank you for giving me and my husband a meaningful and beautiful experience. Our baby boy is healthy and happy and we are forever grateful."
