Reviews of Frank Porter Graham Elementary School
"I don't really remember what the school was like. I was only thereason for about half of my kindergarten year and I am now in middle school."
"It is a excellent school. The staff are nice and all the students learn spanish quickly."
"Excellent dual language school!! Kindegardeners come home reading and writing in Spanish in the first three months!! Classrooms have 50% of kids who are native Spanish speakers and 50% who are native English speakers. All of them become completely bilingual by the end of first grade. Isn't that amazing? I feel lucky to be able to send my kids to this school."
"My son has gone to this school for one year, we both hate it. The kids an teachers are mean to him. Also his student teacher made him sit time out, cuz he was to hot an didnt want his jacket on. We have had clothes stolen, many times one sweat shirt we still have not been able to find. His jacket was found in a lost an found, in a complete different room that he never goes too. I said this only means someone had to of stole it. The principle said that not one of her students dare steal in her school. What makes her think they dont steal. Most recent my son came home with a book called Body Battles an there was an entry that suggested drug use. The book said Drugs There are many drugs an some people smoke it, sniff it, an sometimes inject it into their veins with a needle. If you ask me this book is teaching children in this school, how to use drugs. It needs to be taken out of the school, kids dont need to be reading this. The principle told me that if my child doesnt want to read the book he doesnt need to. Also when u read on it tells you that they are bad. I dont care bout that part, you are teaching kids how to use. She would not answer any more of my questions, and then hung up on me. Both of my kids will not be attending this school an I suggest that nobody else does!!"
