"I will never use this Vets Practice ever!!! And will tell everyone I know of my experience with them. On Tuesday Jan 16, 2024 I contacted them first thing in the morning because I have a 3 yr old Boston Terrier that had not been able to hold down any food since Saturday night and had not been able to hold down water since the evening before. She was severely lethargic, fidgety and whimpering. My regular vet was closed due to the snowstorm that hit the day before. Every other vet in the area was closed, even the local Emergency Vet. Plateau Animal Hospital was open, answered their phone and was seeing patients but refused to see my dog in an emergency because they are not seeing new patients. They referred me to another Vet in Cookeville. I live in Pikeville which is over an hour from Cookeville when the roads are dry and clear. It took me over 2 hours to get there. It would have taken much less time to get to Plateau. This shows me that they are uncaring for animals in need. Do not patronize them."
