"This School is on its 3rd year and is doing pretty well. The teachers here are really nice and helpful and the Principle is a really good guy. If you have good grades are atleast average i suggest you take CLP. Overall QCSS is a good okay school. I know there has been some bad reviews on here and thats from students who basically dont pay attention in class. If you pay attention and stay good this school will do the best for you."

"Enrolling your child into a newly established charter school can go either one of three ways. Good, bad, or awful. I heard through the grapevine that QCSS had some growing pains in its first year of operation, last year. But as a new parent in the second year, I can honestly say that I have nothing negative to report about this school! I have a 1st grader who came from a private school, as well as a 2nd grader who came from one of the oldest charter schools in Charlotte. QCSS has exceeded my expectations! My 1st grader has some challenges (ADD) and his teacher has gone above and beyond to partner with us, the parents, to ensure that he doesn't fall behind in class. She even tutors him privately (no cost) once a week. We communicate daily via various methods. My 2nd grader is a high achiever and has been challenged daily, which is a big departure from her previous school (she was bored to tears some days). I have had no issues with communicating with either teacher. The children do STEM experiments multiple times each week and they come home excited to tell us about what they've created. I absolutely love this school and I look forward to watching it grow!"

"Making the decision to enroll our son here for second grade from a private school was the best decision my husband and I made. Often you hear about "new" schools not meeting the expectations, however Queen City STEM exceeded our expectations. Amanda is fantastic!!! Although apart of the administration team, she took the time to know the students and the parents. She is always smiling and very responsive. Mrs. Shaw our son's teacher- wow where do I begin. Dedicated, excellent communicator, compassionate, approachable, FAIR are just some of her many qualities. At the end of the year awards she gave each student an award certificate that fits their individual personality. That spoke volumes that she actually took the time to not only teach her students, but also to learn about them. Most importantly our son loved his first year and for us that is the most important thing. Excellent school! Looking forward to next year"
