"Worst practice ever! Called practice to set up OB appointment for our pregnancy. We were scheduled and went in to meet the NP. She was friendly and polite. She took our medical history and explained that at the next visit we would meet a Doctor and have an ultrasound. We scheduled that visits and were told that at that visit they would go over the payment information and schedule appointments out for the visits. When we arrived to pay, the front office didn’t know who we were and couldn’t find how much we owed. When we went back to be seen, we were informed that we were not seeing the doctor yet and that there was a mistake in scheduling. We met with the RN and she asked all of the same questions from the first visit. Then when we went to the ultrasound, the tech was very “clinical” and not friendly. We got to see our baby, but didn’t get to hear anything. Then we got a blood draw and went to check out. At checkout they did not discuss payments and did not schedule anything except the next appointment that was supposed to be today. This morning we got a call that the appointment was canceled and we would have to reschedule to an inconvenient time on Friday. While waiting for this appointment our bloodwork came back and we discovered that we had been drug tested without informed consent. During both of the appointments while discussing medical history we explained that we have never used drugs/never smoked but they still did a full drug test panel that we were not told about. Our insurance had to pay for unnecessary tests and we did not have the opportunity to decline a drug test. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior for a medical practice."

"I headed elsewhere. I called them a little over a week ago. I gave the receptionist time to get settled after lunch. Called three times after one p.m. No one answered. To top it off, the phone number on their website is incorrect. No one has bothered to correct it. Lost a past customer. Get it together and let people know that you care."

"The high quality care I received from all of the staff and providers here was absolutely professional, courteous, and client-focused. Everyone was receptive and attentive to my needs throughout before pregnancy, throughout my pregnancy, and during postpartum care. Despite having some high risk pregnancy complications, the staff and providers were always patient and proactive, even making time to comfort me as well as addressing any concerns. They are resourceful, transparent, knowledgeable, and receptive. The receptionists and administrative staff were all extremely knowledgeable when it came to their duties and were honest about boundaries when the answers I needed required reaching out to someone from a different department or of different expertise, in which they would provide a separate contact or instructions. They were always extremely nice and provided advice for how to proceed while performing best practice. I even witnessed Karen who works the front window remain patient but stern with a client who was agitated and rude because the client did not follow the rules of their glucose test correctly, resulting in having to retake it. The client cursed Karen but yet Karen remained professional, communicative, and empathetic while offering the client next steps. Karen, the other Karin, and the front staff make up a team of compassionate and professional superwomen. The providers themselves were fabulous and I highly recommend receiving care from them. Ashley and Dr. Van Winkle were among two of the most professional providers whom I had the pleasure of receiving care from. I cannot stress how amazing they both have been throughout. They don't just perform their jobs, but they do it wholeheartedly with the best interest of their patients. I personally drove to Haywood Women's from Sylva due to having several bad experiences at a medical center closer to me during my first pregnancy and delivery. I have also left a separate positive review a couple of months ago regarding delivery on Haywood Regional's main Google page. Thank you to both Haywood facilities!"

"Worst care I have ever experienced from a doctors office. I have been dealing with a health issue for almost 3 months. A lab got lost and they never called me back. I had called many times to speak with someone about my issues. Gave me a few different medicines that didn't work, which is fine. But when I called to try another I wasn't getting a call back had to suffer in pain because my provider was on vacation. I am now again in the same situation. The office closed early on a Friday at noon instead of 1. My provider said my labs would be in tomorrow. I called and they said she wasn't in. So I call today for results and medication and they are closed early. So again I have to either go to ER or urgent care for medicine to not be in pain. I don't feel like I am being heard and seen by them at all. No urgency or follow through whatsoever even when speaking with my provider about the seriousness of my pain and how it's effecting my mental health."
