"Awesome school for the county. Didn't specialize in gifted students. Great for alternative learning. Moved back to public for the gifted learning and teachers are amazed at the students ability to work well with others. This is taught at Riverwalk. Great way to get the foundations of team work and building a network."

"We love Riverwalk! My son went for 2 years and when it was time for him to start middle school he decided to leave Riverwalk and try the public school. He wanted to go there for the experience of a "bigger" school, with a "gym" and to see what it was like. About a month and a half in I picked him up from school and I started talking to him about things... I could tell something was up. Long story short he wanted to go back to Riverwalk! He had wanted to go back even before this conversation, he just didnt tell me! I emailed Dr Compton ( the principal) that evening and he called me immediately and we got my son back into Riverwalk. Dr Compton has always been easy to speak to, easily accessible, and gets back to me when needed. I've never felt comfortable with any other principles like that. My son could barely wait the extra day to get back. He realized a "gym" didnt make it better nor did "bigger". The smaller community and more personalized feel has worked so well for him. He learns so much, and without stress! He gets to be a kid after school and not stuck at a table doing homework. The PBL style they teach is great. The groups hes been in this year in his first middle school year, hes really enjoyed. Hes had amazing teachers this year ( and years prior) and made such good friend. Everyday he wakes up and is happy to be going to school and happy at pick up. It was always like that.( The only time he wasnt like that, was that brief time at the regular public school. ) It feels good knowing your child is in an environment hes so comfortable in on a daily basis. The plan is to finish out his education to the 12th grade here! We are grateful for Riverwalk. As a parent I love how it doesnt feel so "Robotic"... The kids get to be kids and get a good education while doing so."
