"I would give this childcare center 0 stars if I could, but because they have SOME decent teachers so a 1 will do. However, subpar cleanliness, if you want your child out of school every other week, this is the place for you. No postings for parents awareness about contagious illnesses, or policy changes. I was told I should have looked at “the board” for important changes in regards to changes to policies, and last but not least, unprofessional staff(director) and District manager. They simply don’t and won’t care about your child, just your money. If that’s your kind of thing, go for it, otherwise save yourself and child and choose a better school with staff that care."
"How fast can your baby be put in the daycare if they’re open for kids without a waiting list?"
"Let me just say this. I am a working mother who's job is to protect their child. I am in no way writing this review to "bash" the school, but to solely speak on our experience with this location. My child is 16 months old. Prior to joining the school ( this was his first time joining a daycare/school) my son was a happy toddler who loved to play and would get excited to see other children like him. As many people know, it is hard to get into a daycare so we were excited to find a location that had a curriculum and felt inviting. It had only been two weeks we had him enrolled when we were told that he is not adjusting ( they stated that normally kids adjust to daycare by this time) and that they were considering kicking him out. At that moment the tone and in my opinion treatment on what they gave him became different. We were told that he had a liking to his teacher because she was lighter skin like his mother ( and let me say hearing that made me uncomfortable considering he is a baby who's father neither the rest of his family is not the case). As a result when he would cry (based on the cameras) rather than consoling him, he would often get ignored. I would like to point this out. My child was 14 months at the time surrounded by 9 other kids although we thought the classroom sizes for toddlers was supposed to be smaller for reasons such. My child was constantly watched because he wouldn't stay throughout his nap times and because he wouldn't sit down for a long period of time whether it was given him a time out or eating. What broke my heart is that my happy baby seemed stress and no longer wanted to play at home or around other kids. My baby became sad everytime I would pick him up. We wanted to keep him in the daycare because we wanted the development for him as he was getting better at those routines they were constantly watching. We initially spoke to la petite customer service because we were told he would be kicked out. We spoke to the district manager and was told that we would come up with a plan ( us as parents and the director/teachers), but the only expectation was for him to adjust at the schools timeline). Last week we were told that they would give him one more week and the assumption was that during that week that they would be monitoring his adjustment. There were no other talks about it. Today when we tried to drop him off, we were told he couldn't come into the classroom and was giving his things to leave. There was no talks about a proper exit plan. I have seen my son be pushed by kids, dragged by the arm, ignored and i honestly feel like no one cared to help him. So now our baby has been left in a condition where he is not the same. I truly wish this location would have taken the time to put effort into his development and love as he spends most of his days outside of his parents with the school. I am truly disappointed on how he was treated and pray no other parent goes through it."
"I love La'Petite Academy, the staff are amazing and the facility is nice. My daughter went there when she was younger and now my son is enrolled."
