"I strongly disagree with this schools practices. As an American citizen we are guaranteed freedom of religion. Never in a million years would I allow my child to attend a school where she/he is chastised and given a failing grade for mentioning Jesus in an assignment!! Most children are raised to believe in a higher power whether it be Jesus, Allah, Buddha or whatever. They should be permitted to express their beliefs and be proud of themselves for doing so. I would expect the teacher to grade the paper on spelling, punctuation and overall writing skills despite the subject of the piece written. When my grandchildren are old enough to attend school they will not go here!"

"Don't go to this school. They allow teachers to dictate who and who not is a major influence on their students' life. A teacher gave an F to a child for stating that Jesus Christ had the biggest impact on them and they asked the child to remove Jesus Christ."

"In response to the only reviewer on here that denies this incident happened......do some research.....it DID happen. The school only denies the version of it. Ive seen the assignment....and in my opinion....this little girl had every right to write about her favorite hero Jesus. Schools are becoming brainwash machines anymore. Id highly discourage any parent from sending their children here. Would Buddha or Muhhammed have been treated differently......I have no doubt that they would. Horrible violation here and not only should the teacher be fired but the school should also make a huge and sincere apology."

"This school allows teachers to cram their anti God beliefs down children's throats. If they make it known they praise God then a pathetic teacher will write a nasty remark on their paper. I am very glad my child does not attend such a pathetic school such as this that hires ungodly people. Maybe this school should get some class before they try to teach a class!"

"Freedom of religion is one of the basic principles of this nation. One of the teachers in this elementary school is apparently not allowing his students to exercise this basic right. This is directly referring to an assignment question asking to "Give an example of someone who as impacted your life." The teacher gave that student an F for writing about Jesus Christ. As a Christian myself, I would not feel comfortable sending my kids to a school that oppresses students from being true to the values they believe and stand for."
