"I was truly upset when I walked into this store on Friday. They have axolotls and they looked absolutely terrible, it's apparent that the poor things are not receiving the care they need and are being abused. They were so skinny, had no (or little to none) external gills which is a tell tale sign of abuse. They were in mostly empty tanks with no places to explore or hide in. The poor turtles looked unwell too. Please do not buy anything from this store and support them."
"We got a rabbit and she is so sweet. She has obviously been handled a lot and well cared for. We couldn't be happier."
"Purchase from a reputable exotics breeder/store, not here. Unfortunately seems like they take better care of their mammals than turtles or hermit crabs. The Guinea pigs and rabbits look happy. The hamsters are housed together, which is a little problematic because I’ve seen cohousing work, and I’ve also seen it go horribly. The turtle pictured below was lethargic and limp, with one of its eyes stuck closed. The turtle tank in general didn’t seem the most cleanly. I overheard an employee talking to a mother and child about hermit crabs and giving them incorrect information. The customers were told that hermit crabs did not require a heat source and only needed fresh water. They were also recommended a less than half gallon container (not tank, container) when hermit crabs require at least 10 gallons. These containers were sold in packs with “substrate” and “food”. They were also in painted shells. I won’t go into the full explanation of why painted vs. natural shells are terrible. The same goes for the betta fish and African dwarf frogs. It just makes me sad to see animals like this, over and over again, treated as less than something fuzzy and warm blooded."
"Super awesome store to have in Hendersonville, and the environment the manager, Cayden, creates is so fun and inviting. He helped with all my questions and gave some great recommendations. Definitely worth stopping by and checking it out."
"Cayden was super helpful and informative! Cayden can answer any questions you have about your purchase. We will definitely be back."
