"RECORD ALL CONVERSATIONS DEALING WITH ANYONE, INCLUDING THE POSSIBLE DIRECTOR IESHIA . I learned they will say, and claim something then change it VERY quickly. Also, quite a few times I contacted the facility “it was a situation”. This place should be classified as a youth shelter, and nothing else. They claim you will get family counseling services, which was scheduled, but the availability of the two counselors didn’t meet . So, those three scheduled appointments, never happened. This facility lacks communication so much, that nobody called me to inform me of that. It took me to complain to J, the services we weren't getting, that we were told we would get. For me to find out about why the scheduled appointments never happened. Will finish this later"
"I had a AWESOME experience with the staff at Sea Haven. I was having issues with my son and they took him in after an interview to provide intervention with his behavior. I must say the staff there are GREAT and I was always kept informed of his progress. I was always able to reach out to the staff at ANYTIME! Ms. Isha and Ms. J ROCK! I didn’t want to place my son somewhere that he wouldn’t get the help or resources needed and Sea Haven was the perfect place to get him back on track. Thanks for EVERYTHING ❤️❤️"
"Dont waste your time working for this organization. It's a revolving door for educated minorities!!! Their mission is fantastic but management is very hypocritical and only hires non monitors for upper management positions even though management is 55 plus just getting a masters degree in 2020 and I'm half that age and receiving my masters degree by the end of 2023. They claim to want educated employees but that isn't the Case as someone that almost has a masters degree and they tried to counter offer me a non salary position after the interview for $ 11.50. With a year and a half of education and field training hours that count for a half a year of schooling left. If you are a minority, Dont bother unless you are ok with being low balled because of the color of your skin!!! It's sad because again the mission is great but who is willing to take such low pay and be treated like a slave who just got freedom?"
"These employees are SO unprofessional- specifically ieasha or whatever her name is. They spoke badly about me to my child who was placed there temporarily. She and the others told him that they didn’t like me, and “it must have been a man in my ear” to make me make the decisions I’ve made in regards to having him placed there. Amongst other things, the list literally goes on. He wanted to call me and they denied him access. I don’t know what type of people this facility has employed. But something needs to be done! Not to mention he caught covid while there and they didn’t even have the decency to let me know - prior to picking him up. This place is FILLED with unprofessional people. It’s ridiculous! You all are supposed to be there to help families and instead are doing the opposite."
"My daughter was placed in this facility for runaway from home. She was temporarily in DSS custody, The staff there is very unprofessional and liars. Two staff along with my child gave false information to the police officers that viewed the footage of me coming to pick my daughter up with court orders. Kiki Stated that I came in a rage! I also was recording once I entered the building. My daughter started to make threats towards me threw items and hit me, no not harmful hits but the threats where! Kiki had unlocked a door where she keep two sharpe kitchen knives while my daughter was in a rage! She called another staff to grab the knives and locked them in the administrative office where medication was given as I sat in there! Not giving the kid that was there any privacy at all. I made contact to a supervisor and explained that my daughter shouldn’t e making out going calls to anyone nor received any with except of caseworker or myself! Well the non custodial parent that lived in Texas called me saying she spoke with staff stating I got arrested for disorderly conduct. Kiki also told my daughter this! Which she made in an written statement. In which they was not the truth! She lied on me to tried to get me locked up. One thing about a lie you can’t keep covering it up! I made contact with the supervisor by the name of Ms. Irish and explained what happened! There are cameras from front to back of this place! So viewing it would have clearly explained the lies and my footage! DSS stated she told them the same! No out going calls or ugave my personal information more than once to a non custodial parent with no rights to the child at all, in fact her rights was terminated years ago! I was not at no time in a disorderly manner nor did I disrespectful no staff or kids. Mr. Joe Whom is Executive director, I contacted through email as well as call to discuss this matter with no response. My rights as a parent was violated! I will not stop until this matter is resolved The two staff there where not very well trained and one even made the conversation with myself and my daughter that he felt unsafe due to the violence that goes on in the facility."
