"It’s the first time I’ve ever gone. For what it is, it isn’t to bad. I wish had more exhibits to look at. I wish the trail was open when we were there, it has rained and was unable to access the trail. The grounds that we were able to access was really soggy, making it hard to walk on it. Mostly I enjoyed the alone time I got to spend with my husband whom is also American Indian!!"
"My husband and I stopped on a whim because we checked what was nearby and had never heard of this. We were greeted upon entering. We watched the 18 min long introductory video. It was interesting to see how archeologists extrapolated ideas about how the precious occupants loved based on what they left behind. You can visit a replica of a temple on a mound and a burial chamber. The other exhibit was currently closed for renovation. There is a walking trail on the property as well. We did not get to walk this because of some downed trees that have caused it to be closed. There is a good sized parking lot. The bathrooms are on the right side, exterior of the building."
"I absolutely love this place. It is peaceful and beautiful. The small museum is nice, the site itself is interesting and lovely, and the nature trail is nice and relaxing."
"My family and I stopped at the Indian mounds on a whim while traveling the highway. It was late in the day, and it was about to close in 30 min. The main visitors center has several depictions of life for the Natives in the area and artifacts found in the property. I really enjoyed seeing the mounds and fort built around it. The grounds were completely natural, and with a chill in the air and dusk moving in, it gave the area an ethereal feel. The mounds are quite a ways from the highway, but I would recommend stopping in and exploring."
"Really unique site with a great little museum and knowledgeable staff. Grounds are well maintained and east to get around. Learned a lot about the local native inhabitants who lived in the area around 500 years ago."
