"I was lucky enough to go when there were not many people out. The trail was lovely and easy to navigate. I parked and went to the falls, which were very close, so I had to back track to do the rest of the trail. The trail follows a stream that comes from the Falls. I saw a beaver damn and some cute squirrels packing their jaws with wet leaves. There was a nature trail connected to that which had labels to identify different species of trees and a cute old cabin on it. It looped back to the Cataract Falls trail and took me back to where I parked. It was a wet day, so I had to go around a little bit of water, but it was no bother."
"This waterfall was close to our cabin and we decided to take a short hike and have a look around. It was only about a tenth of a mile from the trailhead and there was lots to see. I highly recommend a visit to Cataract Falls Trail"
"This is a really short and easy trail near the Sugarlands Visitor Center in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It's just outside of Gatlinburg. When it hasn't rained much, this waterfall may just be a trickle. However, when it has rained, it can be nicely flowing falls. We visited it the day after Christmas, and it was frozen and gorgeous!"
"Life is all about family, adventure, the great outdoors!! You will find it here!! The hike was simple! The view was uncanny and memorable for all 3 of us and we plan on conquering more trails next time around the mountains!!!"
"Nice trail and water fall. My kids enjoyed climbing up to see a better view. We bought a week pass for the Great Smokey Mountains at the visitor center inside the entrance of the part. I liked the park a lot. It is a lot of driving and a little crowded when we went in July."
