Reviews of Smoky Mountain River Adventures
"Absolutely no complaints. We made the trip over here from Pigeon Forge. The beautiful drive through the national park was an experience itself. All of the employees were super friendly and helpful. We drove up, paid, got the safety briefing and were loaded up heading to the drop point within minutes. This is a perfect place for families like ours with younger kids. The river was really nice and the rapids were exciting enough but not too much to for our kids. We would not hesitate to go here again. It was great!"
"Family had an amazing experience! Smoky Mountain River Adventures has an amazing staff. Drew was our guide, he is awesome!"
"Smoky Mountain River Adventures offers great rafting and ducky trips, and the staff are hard to beat, as are the owners. The rock jumping mid way through the trip is a lot of fun. The Tuckaseegee River is a relatively warm river so it's great for swimming in the summer as well."
"What an awesome rafting trip! This was our first rafting trip for this family of 5 and it was a 10 out of 10. We called the day of our trip and they were all booked up but 30 mins later we got a call saying someone canceled and we got a raft with a guide waiting for us. Our guide James was the best he knew how to navigate the river with ease. James is so informative and interactive. We can’t wait to go again. We got to see eagles and turkeys on the rivers edge which was so cool. If you're a first-timer I highly recommend a fully guided raft tour. When we were finished an ice pop and freshly made popcorn was waiting for us."
"The trip our family (2 teens, 2 adults) experienced was the white water rafting at Smoky Mountain River Adventures. The staff were friendly and accommodating and stalled our trip half an hour when we needed to return to our hotel for swimsuits. On that topic, definitely bring your swimsuits on your ride because you'll need them not only when getting splashed but if you decide to jump off a rock on one of the stops. Our driver was funny and engaging on the short trip to the dropoff point. Our guide, Benny, was very helpful and stopped us from getting stuck on rocks many times and got the boat back on the water quickly when we did. It was a very safe environment yet also thrilling. The water was very cold, though apparently it was warmer than usual, but that contrasted nicely with the hot day. The rapids on the Tuckasegee River were Level 2, though they approached Level 3 rapids towards the end of the trip. On our rest stop, we got to jump off a boulder into the river (if we chose to) which was slightly nerve-wracking though exhilarating. Benny was very knowledgeable in everything and even pointed out a bald eagle to us. We enjoyed some popcorn and ice pops from the staff at the end of our trip. Overall, I'd totally recommend!"
