"Did this one for sunrise and it was stunning!! Used a head lamp for light and to keep sure footed. Definitely cold at the top and super cloudy until the sun came up, but absolutely worth it. I'm sure this would be spectacular any time of day!"
"This is such an incredible hike and super easy. There’s a bit of an incline but I would say the average person could make it to the top in less than 15 minutes. The views of both the parkway and the mountains and amazing! Don’t miss out on this spectacular view!"
"Our favorite hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Asheville is the Craggy Gardens Pinnacle Trail. It is only .7 miles as it winds through gnarled rhododendron, trees and a field before reaching the man-made lookout area. It is a favorite hike for pictures, too. On this hike it was a bit damp and cloudy at the top but still scenic. Additionally, wildflowers were blooming along the trail. Hope the pictures captures the beauty and uniqueness of this hike."
"Such an amazing stop along the parkway! It’s a quick hike up to the top, and even the trail is beautiful. Sunset or daytime are probably the best times to come up here, and thankfully it’s not too far along the parkway. The view from the top is stunning."
"Lovely hike and awe inspiring views at the top and even throughout the drive up. Many view point stops as well. The hike is steep and has stone steps to assist. It's narrow at points which is great, but dogs on the trail are a nuisance when you're passing others. Also, hopefully when you get to the top there won't be loud, obnoxious talking.. because, otherwise, it will be serene."
