"Walkertown Community Park has the best public walking/running dirt tracks in the Triad. Unlike similar public dirt tracks, WCP's dirt track is relatively flat and well maintained (3 laps = 1 mile). Fyi, walking/running on a dirt track provides much more cushioning for one's feet and joints than paved asphalt or concrete tracks. The downside is that dirt tracks generally require much more maintenance than paved tracks. WCP also has ample parking and well maintained climate controlled restrooms. Additionally, there are several baseball fields, tennis courts, a soccer field, covered picnic tables, and a playground. Can't really comment about the quality of that stuff because I only go there for the track."

"Fun little new modern playground! Nice color scheme and soft turf to walk on. Has two different slides and climbing bars. A rock climbing wall off to the side. There is a large picnic shelter with tables right beside it. Surrounded by some trees so there’s some shade. Nice playground for your smaller kids to play on!"

"I go every weekday for a least a two mile walk, the track is well maintained and always nice folks there , playgrounds for the kids ballfields , tennis courts , soccer field , it’s just very nice place to get your mornings off to a great start with some exercise. I highly recommend it."
