"On Fridays I try to find a place to hike and Geocache. I look for places I can ride my motorcycle and get out in the country. The parking area is ample and paved. There is a great little seating area and great CLEAN bathrooms. I hiked the longest trail loops and went straight up the rock face! Awesome climbing, great hiking, and a really cool playground. This place is worth the drive."
"This has become one of my favorite parks in all of the foothills. The playground is awesome with zip line, slide, hammocks, shade. The hikes are amazing and there is enough variety for most any level of hiker. Rocky face itself is pretty steep and hard but so much fun."
"This area is truly a hidden gem. Lots of wide well maintained trails that are well marked. Different levels of trails from pretty easy to a vertical challenge. There is an area for rock climbing with petons already placed. Good parking and nice clean bathrooms."
"This place is a stunner, a gem, a little slice of earthly heaven! Rock Face Recreation Park is one of the most wickedly awesome places to visit in the tri-state area. From the vertical mile hike up the face of the mountain to the rock climbing of sheer cliffs, this park has something for everyone. The numerous hiking trails are well maintained and provide breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The rock climbing challenges are intense and thrilling; perfect for adrenaline junkies. The play area is a great place for little and big kids alike to explore and have fun. There is a zip-line, multiple swing sets, and a variety of play structures. The staff at Rock Face are super knowledgeable about the near natural history of the area as well as the social history. They are also extremely helpful when it comes to climbing at the park. Local rock climbing outfitters and guides also provide an easy avenue for getting more intimate with the slice of heaven on earth!"
