"The reason I am posting this, other than to tell you about the great experience our family had on the VA Creeper Trail, is to tell you about the fantastic job the US Forestry Service does and all those folks involved with this area that work for them or volunteer. I want to especially thank, Stella, Trail Angel, USFS Volunteer Extraordinaire, Super Hero. First off, when we arrived at the start, Stella was there unloading bikes,, directing traffic, giving advice, offering bike adjustments, and anything else she could help with. When we had just made it past Green Cove station, one of our party had a major problem. When we made it back up the trail, Stella was there and she had her tools, extra tubes, and most of all, she knew better than anyone I have ever seen, how to use them. If you make this trip, ask around if Stella is there, shake her hand, and tell her thank you for what she does as a volunteer. Mark at Green Cove station in the museum is also a gem, and very helpful."
