Reviews of Brooks Tavern
"As a party of three, we each ordered something different & we were very pleased with our meals. I had a delicious burger . Great service and cool atmosphere. We'll be back!"
"I built my own burger and the grilled jalapenos and bacon were great. The meat was a tad undercooked for how I ordered and the tomato was half white and half red. The chips need more seasoning. But overall a solid meal. Cathy (sp?) the bartender was great and I loved the oatmeal stout. I'll certainly return."
"A new place in town! Eaten here twice. Forgot to photo first meal because I ate about half before thinking about the review! So - first meal was the fish sandwich with french fries. I ate the fish & fixings off the bread. Nice portion of cod, nicely cooked. But the homemade fries alone are worth a visit! So good, cooked perfectly and a very generous portion! They even had malt vinegar, which is the only suitable condiment for hand cut fries! Next time I had the Patty melt, on marbled rye with caramelized onions, swiss cheese & thousand island dressing with their hand cut chips. Sooo good!! The only thing to keep in mind is they do add a non-food (credit card processing) fee if you use a cc. This is posted in a little font near the front door as you come in. Nowhere else inside is this posted (should be on the menu, in my opinion.) I was a bit taken aback the first time when I expected my bill to be $14-ish and it was $18-ish! But the quality of the food & service make this restaurant tavern a new favorite!"
"Very much enjoyed our 1st visit to Brooks Tavern in Teyon. We went with family & had great seats by the stage where we got to listen to the Russ Wilson 4Tet. What a great group of guys/musicians! We order the fried corn ribs and candied bacon for apps and they were tasty & unique! The spicy sauce really complemented the corn ribs. Can't wait to try the Buffalo egg rolls next time! For the main entre, I had the Miss Patties Patty Melt with homemade chips and my hubby had the shrimp platter with fries and slaw (he ordered the battered fish first but it was out). Everything was very good. I look forward to trying the fish as it was apparently very good to be gone! Overall, love the atmosphere and live music. Great service and checked on frequently. Food was all very good. Wait was a bit long but understandable with it so busy but we were there to relax so no worries. Highly recommend going! We will definitely be back!"
