NC Farm Bureau Insurance

"Zero stars need to be an option…. PSA: NC Farm Bureau Insurance is absolute garbage. Around the end of December, we had a heavy rain storm. The next day, my rear deck was separated from my house by 16” and hanging on by only the electrical wire running to the overhead light. I called NC Farm Bureau to file a claim. They send an adjuster who in no uncertain terms and quite unprofessionally tells me that the damage was due to failure to maintain the deck and there would be no coverage. He claims that settling over time is not a covered loss. It doesn’t take much education to realize the 16” in 24 hours isn’t “settling over time”. It’s damage. After disputing it, they claim it’s also due to poor craftsmanship of the deck. I didn’t build this deck. It was there when I bought the house. They chose to insure it when I bought the house, so clearly they didn’t see a problem 8 years ago, or they didn’t even bother to look that deep, knowing that they wouldn’t be paying any claims after collecting my monthly and yearly payments for over 10 years and two properties. I contact a higher seat, above the Morganton office. They give me the same run around (in a more professional manner, at least). I contact an even higher seat and reach the Senior Executive, Todd Childers. He tells me the same thing. I voice my concerns about the integrity of the structure being compromised while I save to repair the deck they are failing to cover, his response was “this damage and any damages caused by the faulty workmanship and failure to maintain is not the responsibility of NC Farm Bureau. In other words, “not my problem”. I’m all about minding my business, but when MY clients have an issue, I do my best to resolve it and DO NOT just throw out “not my problem”. Be aware when choosing your insurance that NC Farm Bureau will happily take your money, but when it comes time to follow through on their commitment to insure your investment, they’ll back up faster than a crawfish in a shallow hole."

"I am NOT insured by this place they came to my home .wrong address, didn't knock vehicle had no company name and as my husband walked outside to take out our dog employee was roaming around my yard .if myself and teen daughter would have been home alone it would have scared us a stranger in our back yard roaming around . I called to express my concern are female was unapologetic and snappy. Very weird .make sure you're at the correct address and knock before roaming around"
