"I don’t know what this place is. It’s confused. It’s a sterile environment, no warmth, no ambiance. I have so many questions…why is there no music playing? Just the low hum of the game machines on the bar, and the occasional large inhalation/exhalation of the staff member vaping. Why does the bartender leave and disappear talking to some shady character for long periods? Why hasn’t someone done a deep clean of the bathrooms, surfaces, floors? This space is a great opportunity, the owners just need to find someone that knows how to capitalize."
"I was there for an event few months earlier and they charged me $24 for 1 beer. I actually didnt realize it until next day when i look in my card transaction. Grow up folks. There is still a room to grow and you all are in great location. Give a good impression, be the best so we all Can come back time and again."
"This place took great care of me and they was about to close.. food is nice bar feel good vibes.."
"I got locked out when they were supposed to be open. When I sat down, my server didn't give me a menu. I had to ask for one. The menu they gave me was just as barebones as when I first went a week atter the place reopened, despite promises that it would expand. The water they gave me had drops of leftover tonic in it. The burger I ordered still had pickles in it even though I asked for none. They never gave me a check. I had to give them my card without a check. The entire time, I felt like I wasn't supposed to be there, like the place still wasn't ready to be opened yet, but it's been open for a few months now. It's a shame because this place has potential. They just need to get their act together. The food was alright, though. Might give them another chance in a few months, but I would not recommend going to this place in its current state."
""Original musicians don't get paid" is what the owner told me when I wanted to put together a show there. Edited to reply to owner's comments below. Yes, it started off as a reasonable conversation. I definitely did have a plan, which I clearly communicated. The owner just didn't like my plan and gave me a counter offer. As an original musician, I wanted to do something every few months to properly promote the show because that's how original music works. He wanted me to do a hybrid, and asked "are you going to force your original music down everyone's throat or give the audience what they want?" After that, it did kind of go downhill. If you want to do covers, or an open mic, I'm sure it'll work out, and I understand that the owner doesn't want to take the risk on original music. It was the way he expressed that which led to the 1 star review. My response to "original musicians don't get paid" was indeed to say "yes, they do," and walk out. So, take my response with a grain of salt, or as something you'd do as an original artist."
