"Me and my husband stayed in one of the villas being close to the water was nice but as far as the villa it was not clean it had spiderwebs all in it the toilet was so loose that you didn't know if it was going to fall the windows were so dirty you couldn't see out for this reason it was nasty there were hornets nest in the trees close to the ramp we had to walk up just to get to the door to get in of to much money for this run down not clean at all place will not waste our money coming back here to stay in one the other parts as the cafe and store was nice but that was it!!!!! We will not be coming back it is a nasty run down place and was a big disappointment to us !!!!!"
"Not what you see in the photos. Very run down. More like an old trailer park than a campground. Only nice thing was the pool and it is in serious need of paint. There is another thousand trails campground near by and it is super nice."
"We recently purchased a TT membership and have been trying to utilize that exclusively, plus the location was good for us to visit our friends nearby. This park is older (established 1960) and reflects that; the sites are on the smaller side and close together. We managed to get our 37' fifth wheel into the site, but it was challenging. However, once we were in, all was well. We stayed for a little over two weeks. The pros: the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. Our neighbors were kind and friendly (we felt safe there), and it was quiet. Two+ huge pools, plenty of loungers. The cons: the campground has the potential to be great. It would appear that improvements are being made (new kids playground, new benches around the common areas, etc), however they have a long way to go. The pools are in need of decking repair or replacement. Same for the basketball court and mini-golf. These are a bit of an eye-sore but still usable. Our hook-ups were OK, again on the older side. We had trouble with water pressure (county was working on the main line to the park and expanding the water system). We solved this by adding water to our fresh tank when pressure was low. It would appear that the majority of campers are full-time residents or seasonal owners. Some have pride of ownership, others do not. Some sites give the impression that no one has been there for a very long time-leaves and debris everywhere, mold on their campers. We understand that there has been a lot of turnover with management of the park. Perhaps in the future, they could require tidier sites and occasional power washing of trailers. That would go a long way. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Final points to consider: this park is NOT big rig friendly. Unless you are extremely confident with your backing in skills, I would probably avoid this campground. Our opinion- a trailer no bigger than 37' or less. The roads in are narrow, twisty, hilly, and bumpy, and need repaving. You can do it. Just go slow, but it is not relaxing getting in lol. This is long (sorry), but I hope helpful. Our attitude: once we're set up, we're home, where we have everything we need. Then you explore where you are and enjoy; the area is lovely!"
"Stayed here recently about a week ago visiting my boyfriend. The rv campground is gorgeous. Lots of places to walk around and explore. I brought my dog with me and she had a blast. The pools are awesome and the people are super friendly and kind. I had no issues staying there. And yes I will absolutely be visiting again."
"I reserved a spot in June for a "premium" section space for camping July 16 thru 23, 2023. We were told the day before our arrival that the site had been sold. We were sent to another site that is narrower, farther away from the pool and rec areas, full of leaves and sticks. We were told we would not be receiving a refund for the less desirable site. We have coming to this campground for 17 years and this is the worst treatment we have received here. We probably won't be back."
