Reviews of Residence Inn by Marriott Raleigh Crabtree Valley
"I always stay here for 3-5 days each month when visiting my mom in a nearby assisted living facility. Sometimes they are out of liquid dish soap or paper towels. Or I need to ask for something I know is missing. They need more vegan options at breakfast. They only have oatmeal, fruit and a plant based milk."
"We have been here for a week and a half while work is done on our home and I have been very impressed. I am a germaphobe and hotel rooms are particularly tricky for me. After reading some of the reviews, I was anxious about our stay, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that our 1 bedroom room was very clean and nice. The bed is comfortable and the shower gets hot almost immediately. I have made two service calls which were answered quickly and the issues resolved right away. We have only used housekeeping once, but the room looked great afterwards. The breakfasts are very good. I am weird about hotel breakfast eggs, but these are real eggs and are well cooked. The surrounding area leaves a bit to be desired, but that is not the hotel's fault. The parking lot and surrounding area is well lit and I have felt safe, but have not gone out alone late at night. The hotel is a little older and could use a refresh, but it is very nice for what it is, a reasonably priced, extended stay hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, if the need arose."
"Place is not in great condition. Hallways smell slightly damp and moldy. Got in late on our first night and did not feel safe at all outside. Even at 3 am people out in the parking lot and asking for money."
"This place could be 5 stars if the rooms weren't so out dated and worn. The location of the hotel is not bad, but not great. Breakfast was ok... and sadly the bar/dinner area was closed our first night, but didn't provide much service the second night either...The rooms are spacious though, and the bed was comfy. Some of the furniture in my room was a little rusty and dirty (see pics)."
"My family and I recently stayed at this hotel in Raleigh for two nights and it was terrible! This was surprising since Marriott Residence Inn brand hotels are usually very nice, very comfortable and our go-to place to stay. I rated it only 1 star because 1) their poor customer service—- the toilet would not flush properly causing the bowl to fill up to the rim with water (although it did not overflow). I called the font desk to report it, I waited for 30 minutes and no one came. I called again, waited again and no one came and no one followed up with me to let me know there would be a delay. Very poor customer service. I had to go down to the lobby to use the bathroom! I also reported the issue in person at the front desk. 2). The fan in the bathroom gave off a very loud buzzing sound when you turn on the bathroom light. 3). The air conditioner was very loud which was very disturbing and made it hard to sleep. 4).The mattress on the pull-out bed had a lot of urine stains on it…. Very disgusting. 5). I dropped something on the floor and used a mini flashlight to look under the couch to find it and there were pieces of food and litter under the couch which appear to have been there for a long time. 6). There were white stains on the bottom portion of the brown couch. Not sure what that’s about, but it looked like dried up detergent stains."
