"It's seen better days from my photos. It smelled okay and was not dirty. It is just in dire need of some repairs. The vent fan did not work as well. They do give you a dog goodie bag, which is nice, and there are bags and trash can near the parking garage crosswalk for the dog. The staff was super friendly and helpful, though."

"This is my go-to place when I travel to Charlotte (about 4-6 times a year). The hotel is conveniently located (walking distance) to uptown (which is what Charlotte calls its downtown) and the Beatties Ford Corridor for those planning to do anything at Johnson C. Smith University. It is adjacent to Johnson and Wales. The light rail has a stop right there. The rooms are clean, the staff is polite. The bar and the food is good. Hilton Honors members consistently get the warm cookie when you check in (and they're good too!). If you're a hotel snob, it may not be the spot for you. But if you're practical and want a nice, quiet, comfortable, reasonably-priced, convenient location, I'd stay here. On one of my trips I decided to stay at a much larger, posh, well-known location uptown. It was a great experience but your money is going to go much further in this location that is just as convenient as any large operation Uptown. So that was limited to a one time experience and I've chosen to stay here ever since."

"Clean and comfortable. Staff is so nice it’s ridiculous! They give you a warm cookie upon check in. Ate at the restaurant twice, the first night my steak dinner was good but broccolini was overly salty and I couldn’t eat it. (Health reasons) Second night had probably the best burger I’ve had in years… very good! Great views from my room. Great location for the conference I was attending at Johnson and Wales. Was able to walk out my door and it was a one minute walk to where I had to be. Would definitely be back."
