"Received a 9 minute “skin fade” and a trim on the top. This is not meant as a compliment. I’m not normally one to leave reviews but I’ll make an exception for this. The hardest lines in any “fade” I’ve ever had. Have tried many barbers in a few different cities, would rate this as the worst experience and cut that I’ve had. The effort was just not there. The “barber” could not have cared less, 0 attention to detail. People walk around with the haircuts you give them. If you’re not going to care, you should be in another industry. Will never be returning."

"I recently booked an appointment online at Modern Man, a barber shop, for my first experience with them. I chose the option of a haircut with a fade for an additional $5 compared to the standard $30 cut. The online booking process was smooth and efficient, and everything worked well in this regard. I arrived at the salon at 6:30 in the evening, and unfortunately, my experience was not the best. I was welcomed by a lady who led me to the chair and began cutting my hair. Unfortunately, she seemed quite tired, perhaps because it was the end of the day, and this was reflected in her work. I noticed that she was cutting my hair without paying much attention to details, almost as if she were mowing the grass. She did not trim my sideburns or neaten the back of my neck, which I would have expected from a professional barber. After about 15 minutes, she asked if I was satisfied with the haircut, but I noticed issues at the back of my head. I politely asked her to lighten the hair in that area, but her response was disappointing. Instead of addressing my request professionally, she forcefully pulled my hair and began cutting it aggressively. This was an unpleasant and unprofessional gesture on her part, which certainly marred my experience. Not being a native English speaker, I had tried to communicate my preference through the notes in the online booking and by showing a picture of the haircut I wanted before we began. However, it seemed that communication was a challenge at this salon. Unfortunately, my overall experience was more than negative. I cannot judge all the barbers at Modern Man, but based on my experience, I will not be returning to this salon. I hope that my feedback can be taken into consideration to improve the quality of the service provided."
