"Took our pets to a dog park. They loved it, had a "small dog" park for them. Water was available, dog poop bags and training obstacle for the to play on. I saw a small black snake, not sure what that was called. The signs were very bright and cute. Took lots of photos."
"Westover Recreation Centers offers a day camp for children in the summer. I was surprised when I was informed my cousin who has a learning disability would not be admitted into the summer camp program. The camp program has slots available, my aunt completed the appropriate forms and went to the office yesterday only to be given the run-a-round. She was told her son could not attend the summer camp because of his learning disability. Wow. After two contradicting conversations with the faculty and supervisor at Westover Recreation my aunt decided to contact another summer camp program. The other facility admitted my nephew learning disability in all without batting an eye. I do not know if staff at Westover Recreation is oblivious of what good customer service is or of they do not care. The staff should be required to take sensitivity and hospitality training courses as soon as possible. The apathetic attitude of the staff will deter people from associating with this place. Beware."
"I was excited about the new dog park but please be careful. They did not install the fence correctly, there is a gap at the bottom of the fence and since it is flexible a dog merely has to push with its nose and make a space big enough for a medium sized dog to slide right through. I was only there a few minutes as my dogs were investigating the possibility to get out and we drove back to riverside dog park. Also, they installed cute dog water fountains but the owner has to be there pushing the button in order for the dog to get water. I am hoping they can fix the fence and place some buckets so dogs can drink whenever they need."
"New dog park is awesome! Nice big gated area, 3 benches and things for the dogs. Thanks Fayetteville for this! We needed it!"
