"Grew up going here and they keep it maintained very well for the community. My kids love the park."
"Efland-Cheeks Community Park is right next door to an elementary school. You will see signs that state the school has priority use of the facility but I have never experienced any issues. There are two playgrounds, a baseball field, soccer fields, open area, basketball courts, a paved walking trail and two shelterhouses. There is also a community center on the grounds but we have never been inside it. There is a sign that there are restrooms inside the community center, but if you visit when the center is closed there are also porta-johns between the walking track and the school building. On fall evenings you will find soccer and flag football practices being held here. If you visit during the school day you may see school kids making use of the park at recess. Between the school and a small woods, there is a good hill that my kids love to roll down and is also decent for sledding when we get a good snow. There are also some rocks at the bottom of this hill that my kids love to play on. Our family loves this park! With 3 kids between age 2 and 10, everyone finds something to do."
