"As a carpenter we were hired to do a job building a subfloor and porch. Long story short we did the work and never got paid. Even went back and did 2 check lists that the homeowner wanted done. Do not work for this company.."

"I originally was going to have an Amish family build my cabin, but the due to a death in the family, they were not able to build the cabin (May 2020). I contacted the cabin company that I bought the kit through and was referred to to Appalachian Timber Builders. I received a call the same day from Robert and he set me up with Allen to do the build. Allen got the ball rolling and everything was looking like we would finish before the holidays (2020). Allen has only one helper who worked for a week and then took several days off. Then they would show up 1 or 2 days every other week and the project got so far behind. It took 6 moths to get a roof on the cabin, and I fired them as soon as the cabin was weather tight. Same problems that others had mention, always asking for draw money, and not getting anything done on a timely manner. During these delays, I tried calling Robert, but his number was no longer in service. Emails came back as an invalid address, and the log home company could not provide any information or help in contacting ATB. What was supposed to be a dream home has been a nightmare experience. The light is at the end of the tunnel and after taking over as my own contractor the cabin has been completed. Would never recommend ATB to build a cabin let alone a dog house!"

"Buyer Beware of these crooks! Do not front any money before work is performed. Allen and Robert are criminal. They stole our first draw, said was needed to start project. Nothing was ever done but plans submitted to Building Department. Shady shady shady. Stay away from this outfit or they’ll rob you blind too, esp people in Florida where they’re supposedly expanding. I wish I could have given NO stars."

"Hired ATB to weather in a log home. The contract was supposed to be completed in 60 days. It has been almost 3 years and they have not completed the job. The work that was done was very poor. Do not hire Allen or Appalachian Timber Builders for any construction job!"

"I'm a Draftsman and I was hired a few months ago to draw the Cabin Plans for 2 seperate projects (King & Bunker). I completed the projects as we had arranged and when it came time to get paid it took me a month to collect on the Bunker Project & now 6 weeks later on the King project they've not paid, but have since quit taking my calls & won't respond. Now I have to lien the King property that they've already broke ground and been building using the plans they got from me. Shady company that doesn't pay it's bills - Buyer Beware!!!"
