"UPDATE- Not only is Alex a horrible person but she wants to not only lie on her review but she also just called on her personal phone harassing us. I am so beyond disappointed with this hotel. First, they let go of an employee right after being informed of the employee having cancer, how nice is that. They then give awful service, we go as a family, and they proceeded to make us feel bad because we didn't book the hotel online and did it in person, so they lost out on money. Tyler verbatim said "can I ask why you did not book the room online and waited to book it here, because since you all did it this way, the hotel lost out on money, that we would not have if you all had done it before." I mean really, and this is what people are spending their money on. Tyler then proceeded to lie to the General Manager Brian and Brian accused us of accusations that I am shocked a business manager is allowed to do. Terrible people. Must have paid all the people off with the good reviews because they are anything but. I cannot advise you to stay away from this place enough, they are very mean individuals. Not to mention Alex, which is a "girl," she is just as awful. STAY AWAY!!"

"We recently hosted our Annual Manager’s meeting of 250+ employees and spouses at the Lumina on Wrightsville Beach. The staff and service were exceptional throughout the entire weekend. They worked seamlessly alongside our event team and ensured our guests had a fantastic experience. The food, beverage and event spaces were top tier. We would recommend this location for any companies looking for their next event venue."

"Beautiful, clean, relaxing amazing place! We came here for just one night for my wife’s 43rd birthday just to get away and have a different vibe from Jacksonville, NC with the ocean front view! People are so nice here and it’s all remodeled! I would 100% come back and we already recommend this to our buddies in Jacksonville and our friends and family in Michigan! Great job to the place as a whole and to the amazing STAFF MEMBERS! JOB WELL DONE! No matter what, BE KIND, GIVE BACK, PAY IT FORWARD AND ALWAYS DO A RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS!"

"I came for a quick weekend getaway. In my head, Holiday Inn isn’t the most glamorous of the hotel options but this one is nice inside! It’s well decorated and definitely was above my expectations on that front. However, we booked this due to the hot tubs they have and turns out they only have one small hot tub outside. The second hot tub was turned into a fire pit so the picture of the pool and three little tubs is incorrect. And when we went to use it when it was cold and windy out the one hot tub was maybe 98 degrees. (I only know this because I’ve become a pro at getting my kids bath to 100 degrees and this was way colder than that). So we told the front desk and they were like uh try to hit the rest button. Nothing g happened. Told them and they said they would let maintenance know. I also reached out via the app to the “digital front desk” and they said to tell housekeeping. Not sure why. Next day I call the front desk again and he doesn’t know but assumes it’s working because it’s “been popular”. No accountability. No “let me check on that for you”. Super disappointing. Otherwise, the room is nice, but the sound proofing blows. A white noise machine would’ve been nice."

"Love this hotel! We've stayed there twice, once in summer in a suite, and once in winter in a regular room. Both times were a great experience! The facilities are kept up well, rooms are clean and comfortable, views are gorgeous, and they really mean it when they say their hotels are kid friendly! Kids eat free in the hotel restaurant and the food was really good. All the employees were so nice and helpful. They met us at the door to help with our bags and were so sweet with my kids. I would absolutely stay here again and again!"
