Grey Eagle Taqueria is a vibrant and delicious restaurant located at 185 Clingman Avenue in Asheville, North Carolina. Originally housed inside The Grey Eagle Music Hall, we now have expanded to multiple locations to serve our traditional-style tacos and much more. Our menu features a variety of options including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan choices, all made with fresh, in-house ingredients. Pair your meal with a local brew or a freshly-made margarita for the perfect dining experience.
Our updated menu includes new signature tacos and surprises for our customers to enjoy. You can also visit our sister restaurant at Big Pillow Brewing in Hot Springs, NC for a taco and a delicious brew. Keep an eye out for our mobile taqueria food trailer, serving up our tasty tacos around town - follow our Facebook page for location updates.
Join us for lunch or dinner at our Asheville location, open from 12-8pm on Sundays and Tuesday-Thursday, and 12-9pm on Fridays and Saturdays in the winter, and extended hours in the summer. In Hot Springs, you can find us at Big Pillow Brewing, serving up our tasty tacos and brews.

"The Grey Eagle is my favorite venue in Asheville! I suggest going early and getting some food which is fresh & delicious! They have the best empanadas I've had anywhere seriously! I can't speak for the rest of the food cuz I'm hooked on the empanadas, but it looks good! I'm going to have to force myself next time I go to eat something different I'm sure it will not disappoint. Every show I've been to there has been excellent! This night was a tribute to John Prine. Excellent show - excellent musicians they did not disappoint."
"Amazing Venue for music, good food & drinks!!! Food/Bev -- food is really tasty. Even if you're headed for a show, be sure to check out their tacos and it THE BEST Mexican street corn EVER according the wife. Bar can get crowded, but they are fast with service. Don't have many bourbons, but oh well. Scene -- such an awesome venue to see a show. Saw Susto here on 2/16 and it was one of best venues we've seen them in!! Not a ton of space so get there when doors open if you want a good seat. Overall fantastic music venue with great food and good service!!!"
"Got the Mexican street corn and batata taco. Both were delicious. Corn could use a little bit more spice on it but grilled perfectly with just the right amount of cheese and mayo. Batata taco was delicious. Went for lunch and sat outside."
"What a fun night out! We arrived early for a Shawn James show not knowing what to expect. We were greeted by a friendly owner, friendly wait staff at the Taqueria, friendly bartender, and the band performing a sound check! BONUS!! The quesadilla and nachos were filled with flavor and the cocktails were easy to order with virtually no wait throughout the evening. Great little venue hidden in the River Arts District."
