"Great local BBQ place. I love their sauce, its just the right blend of spicy, vinegar and smokey flavors. The fried okra was excellent and the service was outstanding!"
"It was decent. The food came out hot, fresh and fast. The sides were the best part. The bbq was dry and didn’t have much flavor so it really needed the sauce that came with it. I think this is pretty much the Lexington style. Not my favorite but not the worst I’ve ever had. Prices were really cheap and the staff was nice."
"Hush puppies were fantastic. Fries... Crinkle cut... Meh for me personally. BBQ was average. Service was fantastic. I'll be back to try other menu items. After a few visits later... A lot beef bang for your buck on the burgers. Don't go double unless you're really hungry."
"To be frank, we chose this restaurant solely because it's close to where we're staying while we're in town. For whatever reason, we chose to order something besides the daily specials or BBQ. I think we would have been happier if we'd chosen those options. The food that we did order - fried fish, okra, green beans, and fried squash - was just okay, and we knew that would be the case as soon as we saw the plastic packets of tartar sauce. Our impression is that what we got was a bunch of frozen and canned stuff. But, again, that's our bad for ordering fish at a BBQ joint. The wait staff was very nice, though, and the atmosphere reminded us of a diner from our last home town that we really loved."
"This is a good BBQ place with plenty of other options. The Chicken Casserole was very tasty as-was the fried corn nuggets. I tried the Loaded Q-Dog which is a red (think Bright Leaf) hot dog in a nice sized sub roll with an overwhelming amount of Lexington style BBQ pulled pork and red slaw. It is served with a cup of Lexington style BBQ dip which is a tomato and vinegar sauce that flows freely and has a bi of heat and spices. Fried squash was a little soggy and under-cooked on the inside in my opinion. I'd suggest a faster hotter fryer for more crispy outside and less oil absorbed. Overall a nice place with really nice attentive staff. Location is about 10 miles from Downtown Lexington. I'd love to come back and check out more of the daily specials that include BBQ chicken, meatloaf, and steak."
