About the Ernest Freeman Park
Ernest Freeman Park is a charming park located at 5139 Front Street in Stedman, North Carolina, United States. This popular tourist attraction spans 2.23 acres and offers a range of amenities for visitors to enjoy. Thanks to a PARTF Grant received in 2005, the park boasts new playground equipment, park benches, swings, grills, trash receptacles, water fountains, a large picnic shelter, and paved parking. In 2012, the park underwent further updates, including the addition of a 30' x 40' picnic shelter with electricity and a sidewalk, courtesy of Fayetteville/Cumberland Parks & Recreation.
The park is a hub of activity year-round, hosting various social events and community gatherings. Visitors can reserve picnic shelters for private parties by contacting the Town Hall. Additionally, the park is home to the Stedman Recreation Center, providing even more recreational opportunities for locals and tourists alike.
A notable addition to the park is the Little Library Eagle Scout Project, spearheaded by Caleb Sherzer from Boy Scout Troop 701. This project has added a wonderful resource to the park for visitors to enjoy. With its picturesque setting and array of amenities, Ernest Freeman Park is a must-visit destination in Stedman.

"Great little park for my kids that range from 3yrs to 9yrs old. They had a fun time. We took lunch and ate under the pavilion. Seems like a nice area being the only park that’s really around us besides going into Fayetteville."
"Nice place for kids to play, my kids like going especially my 3 year old. Usually not crowded, has basketball court and swings! Also bathroom(portable toilets) use and water fountains."
