Reviews of The Park Vista - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel - Gatlinburg
"We came here at the very end of October. The room was okay.. but the main reason we chose this hotel was because of the view and man did it not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful views of the fall foliage. Don't miss your chance, book this one over the other hotels in the area. The city also has a bus service that will shuttle you to the town from the hotel."
"Arrived at hotel to see an event was being held. We attempted to check in at 4pm, the designated time to check in, and was told that our rooms were not ready and we would need to wait. When we asked how long our wait would be, we were told it would be a long time and the check in person was not able to specify a time. The hotel is currently chaotic with waves of people attempting to leave, check in and check out. We have yet to be able to check in, waiting two hours currently with no end in sight. We are unable to even make it to the check in desk due to the wave of people. This is unacceptable service. We paid for a room to be able to check into at 4pm. We will not be back to this establishment."
"We had stayed at the Vista before which was much more pleasant many years ago. It's hard going up and down the mountain all the time, especially with bad windy weather. The extra billing does not come until you go to check out. We were charged an extra $263.45 which is hard for any Disabled Veteran. Our service dog was charged $40 per day to stay with us and we were also charged $15 per day for parking. By the way, there is no where else to park. No other hotel does this! We will never stay at the Vista ever again because of their dishonesty about the late charges. Veterans don't take disloyalty lightly!"
"Park Vista hosted a conference I was attending. Rooms were nice and clean. The water pressure in the shower was great. The pool/hot tub were a nice addition along with the fitness center. Had a great view from my room. And it’s not far from downtown. Would definitely stay here on personal trip. Oh and the warm cookie is always a plus!"
"We stayed at the Park Vista for four nights in mid-October. We had gorgeous views, wonderful service, and enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the restaurant. After we checked in remotely, our room assignment was changed to one with a less desirable view (this is before we actually arrived at the hotel). I called and TJ was able to get us into a room with an awesome city view—especially with the lights at night! We had great service at the restaurant and enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We loved the convenience of the trolley and only moved our car when we went to the Park. If you can get on a trolley with Ruthie as the driver, you’ll get all the best tips and insider info! We loved that the hotel was a little further out of town so it was nice and quiet at night. We were also pleasantly surprised at the reasonable room rates, especially for the fall season. We will recommend this hotel to all of our friends with kids for sure!"
