Downtown Park is a popular tourist attraction located at 145 Southeast Broad Street in Southern Pines, North Carolina. Situated in the historic district, this park hosts a variety of community events such as Movies in the Park, Autumnfest, and a seasonal Farmers Market.
The park features newly installed playground equipment, a toddler playground, swings, a picnic shelter, and restrooms for visitors to enjoy. Operating hours are from dawn to dusk, with the basketball court and tennis courts available until midnight.
Visitors can reserve the greenspace and picnic shelter for private events such as family picnics or birthday parties for a fee. Leash laws are enforced in the park, with an off-leash dog park available at Martin Park.
Tobacco and nicotine use is prohibited in the park, as well as the consumption of alcohol on all town property. Downtown Park provides a safe and family-friendly environment for all to enjoy.

"Great local park. Has a few nice bits to it but does get a bit crowded from time to time. My kids enjoy the new friends they get to make ad long as the kids aren't too snobby or shy to talk or play with them. My kids are social butterflies & some are just not. I do think a few updates are going to be needed in the near future but we'll continue to visit."
"Very nice, clean, and safe park. This is a great place to read a book, bring the kiddos to play, or just enjoy the fresh air. The restrooms are clean and there is plenty of free parking. Sometimes there are free events held at the park."
"The grandkids, 9 and younger, love this park. It has a challenging playground set for climbing and slides. Also several swings for different ages. The ground is a thick, cushioned surface. It has an area with playground equipment just for toddlers too. Plenty of benches for adults to keep an eye on the kiddos."
"The park is very nice, clean, fun filled environment!! But there was 2 rude ladies, they took my son water bottle from the bench and put it on the top of the trash can, can’t believe it!"
